I know, I completely agree about the importance of the Beretta 92FS in the Max Payne series (this is another thing that bothers me about MP3 indeed, but that's another story...), it's the hard boiled signature gun, it screams John Woo as much as the game that was heavily inspired by his movies! :D
However in this mod it's replaced by the Colt 1911, simply becouse this mod aims to port some Max Payne 3 feeling in MP2, and in MP3 the Colt replaced the Beretta as Max's signature gun (in fact the good old Beretta completely disappeared in MP3, perfect continuity with the most important points of the series eh...), also you have the Beretta in almost 90% of the MP2 mods so it wouldn't hurt some variety, besides the fact that in the context of my mod the choice makes perfect sense. ;)

Wasn't there a Beretta in the first chapter of Max Payne 3 and in other missions like in the stadium? I think some chapters do have a Beretta. As I can remember, your very first weapon in Max Payne 3 is a Beretta. :) + I am quite sure that in Max Payne 3, you can only get an M4 carbine from the DLC, Local Justice.
...but... since there aren't many weapons you can put in Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, I do agree with you, The_Silver, the Colt 1911 should replace the Beretta in order to add that Max Payne 3 feel because there isn't any Colt 1911's in the first two Max Payne games. :D

This question has already been answered by The_Silver. + Use your common sense. Max Payne 2's story happens in just one night. Max wouldn't grow a beard in that interval. He might grow some hair on his face but not like in Max Payne 3. + Why would he shave his head? In Max Payne 3, Max shaved his head to kind of show metaphorically that he was finally in control of his life.

I'm surprised at the things you were able to do with the Original Engine, and how you were able to get a functioning bullet time system and gun handling system like that of Max Payne 3. I like the little things in the mod, like how you can drink bottles of Kong Scotch and have that 'drunk' effect. Also how Max has periodical flashbacks in certain situations. The "Dead man Walking" feels just like Arcade mode in MP3, and that you took bits from other mods you made like Payne Effects 3 and Max Payne…
