We are back, with a gigantic (well just big :D) update & 3 screens for you to look at, with added grain and visual effects :P

First off, Paranormal is now on the Cry Engine 2, meaning you need Crysis to run and play it, why you ask? As good as it is, the Source Engine isn't really the best engine to make horror enviroments & atmosphere and isn't as open as the Cry Engine 2, and Paranormal has some gigantic set pieces in it which need the open enviroments of the Cry Engine 2. Everything about the game is the same, just with upped effects cause of the engine change! Also, I can actually map on the Sandbox Editor!

Secondly, heres the screens I mentioned earlier! They are very early and WIP, the guns need to be changed, the HUD needs to be changed etc, but that will all come in time!

Lastly, one of our aims when creating Paranormal, is to change parts of the gameplay in each part and really distinct each episode from the other. So, here are the gameplay differences of each episode!

Episode One - Proper detective theme, the scariest part of the game. you find clues and have to piece together whats happening so far, as well as sneaky parts and some action.
Episode Two - Heavily adventure based & Really Scary. Feautures our parkour (acrobatics/free jumping) sections of the game, where you are being chased by everyone.
Episode Three - Action/puzzle based. Very Scary. Your in Hell for the most of this chapter, but puzzles are a huge part of getting out of there alive.
Episode Four - Mostly huge action sequences on a massive scale. The main character is extremely pissed by this section of the game :P

Also, don't forget that the Paranormal Team is still recruiting! We still need:
One more mapper
One more modeller (would be handy if they could animate too)
One coder (needed desperatly! Needs to be experience at the Cry Engine 2 coding stuff etc)

Yah nice to see crysis getting bigger and bigger modding community the tools are really good i`m making a mod for cry engine. Mod look ok but the maps look really dark and strange on the pics maybe you in low settings ?. Good attempt just needs more work on lighting

if you read the image details on the images page, it says that we have used slight visual effects (distortion mostly) that is proply what your seeing:p
