Ok so the story and game play details are busy getting refined and made so what you read here is a more basic version of whats coming.
This is a total conversion so everything will be replaced or edited.
The whole thing starts on parallel earth +-300 years after a cataclysmic war that engulfed the earth. The end of the war was caused by a massive nuclear and extra terrestrial battle which also altered the landscape heavily including the resources.
The new and main resource is Tritanium, which is found mainly underground.
Since the great war and the final "event" ended in 2025 the world started to rebuild from what was left. Three main factions arose after much pain and suffering.
Details of factions:
The American empire:
Born from the ashes of the USA the american empire fought and united both the American continents and some pacific areas such as Japan, Australia and New Zealand.They are the largest faction when comparing territory.
- Technology consists of very flexible and balanced units, for example their basic scout or infantry support unit can have more varieties of upgrades than other factions. However the units are more expensive on average and also lack the firepower in some areas that are better suited for specialized units.
The Eurasian Federation:
They are the oldest of all factions born from the former EU, they hold on to the ideals of the old world, "unite and prosper". They are democratic and least aggressive out of the lot, but not trust worthy. The Federation's territory as of now is North Africa, parts of Eastern Europe and all of Western Europe. Though they seek to unite the world they are very quick to hate outsiders and have recently had very high tensions with the Empire.
-Technology wise they are more defence oriented, units are a bit slower but more heavily armored and some able to dig in and deploy to make fortifications. They also pride themselves in very precise and very efficient weapons systems.
The true children of the wasteland, they are from the most harshly effected areas of the event. They care little for big ideologies and beliefs. Their main goal is survival and they will do anything in order to do so. It is unknown how many territories fall under the Neo Soviets and its likely they don't even know. They mainly eminate from Asia (including middle east) and parts of former Eastern Russia. They have been reported in Africa too. The Remnant are considered very aggressive and will attack at the drop of a hat. They are also very divided, the 3 armies they are split up into fight each other way more than anybody else.
-Technology: Though comparable with other factions, they gain access to tech later. For example their medium tank only comes in tier 2 wheres the others get it in tier one. They do have some good specialized units early on though. Also they are the only faction to blatantly use chemical/biological weapons.
It will be a bit slower than original ZH and more focused on units, upgrades and their weapons. Also it will be a lot more realistic, not completely but for example weapons will have much longer ranges and maps will be larger.
Instead of Generals you pick armies with a certain Faction. Each Faction has 3 armies which will be identifiable from the camo scheme on units.
