Paradise Lost (commonly abbreviated PL; also known as Paradise Lost modification, and Paradise Lost mod; full name: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow Of Chernobyl - Paradise Lost modification) - a modification for the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl, developing since 2007, based on the recovery of content that is not ranked to the final game.

The main purpose of Paradise Lost modification is to approach the game "S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl" for such a model, which is shown by the developers GSC Game World for the age since 2002 to 2005 years - that is a kind of returning of all the interesting things that were lost in the release, but remains on the old screenshots, trailers, "the finalcounts", articles in many gaming magazines - everything that can now be seen in the assemblies of the process of the game development (builds), which, fortunately, are available for download. Today, all English-speaking fans of Paradise Lost Mod - a holiday!
We are pleased to finally present to you the english version of the modification.

I would like to make a small digression: if on the eve of 5 years of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl, Ruwar (assistant in the development of modification) is not offered in the original theme of mod the Russian-speaking forum to create a page Paradise Lost on Moddb, then perhaps you would not soon, if ever learned about mod, and did not get in the end the English version of the mod.

Now, regarding the content of the modification. She got used some changes. Mod is a version 4.3.1 Beta, consisting of version 4.00 (January 2, 2012), and set on top of Update 3.1 (27 December 2012).

Paradise Lost mod beta - Trailer 4 - Mod DB

And now I would like to talk about plans for the further development of Paradise Lost Mod.
They are all the same: the restoration of content that is not ranked in the final game.
Until recently was being developed in terms of the reconstruction of the old locations and monsters, and continuously work on improving and fine-tuning the current graphics modifications to the kind we saw in 2002-2005.

Finally I've install the mod, and its actually pretty good.

I noticed some bug, especially one with the arena : after killing the two
guys with the Ak74 and the one with the spas 12, we can't go back to Arny... I don't know if you're aware.

And I have a question : How can I modified the Fov ? I used Fov switcher but it doesn't work.

Also if any of the two rookies would get killed by the player or the enemy stalker the game would crash, hope that's also being fixed.

Its a very small and simple torrent client, doesn't require much setting up. File hosting sites these days are much less reliable to keep files ever since megaupload went down. Torrents are also faster than free hosting sites as long as there are seeds.

That's the only way you can get the english version atm but I don't see why wouldn't you want to use bitcomet or other torrent downloaders, just install it, download the mod and after that you can uninstall it.

Besides the speed is pretty fast if there are enough seeders.

Does anyone have another upload for the english version? The torrent has almost no seeders which makes the download time estimate to be days or weeks long.

You must go to the Duty base to talk to Plichko. He will explain their rules to you. After then you can go back to Barkeep and get a job.
