Pandaemonium is a third person Total Conversion of Half-Life 2 that will have the player guide their character, the Vampiric Mercenary Morthor, through several levels, such as urban sprawls, filled with various humanoid and monstrous enemies to engage in combat. During this, gunplay, tactics and acrobatics will all play an important role.
Gunplay will be important, as the best way for the player to 'win', is with superior firepower: avoiding their own death and thus a "Game Over" and killing the enemy first. Basically, their reflexes will be put to the test. Furthermore, certain ammunitions or guns will have an advantage in certain situations; the players will have to figure this out for themselves and this is part of the game.
Also, more often than not, Morthor will be outnumbered and will have to survive by superior tactics. As an example, he’ll have to figure out the behaviour of several patrols, destroy them one by one and attack the main group of enemies after that, to avoid being literally shot to pieces. Or in another example, luring the enemy with some accurate long-range shots to Morthor’s location, after which to use a lethal, but inaccurate shotgun, could be a valid tactic.
Acrobatics will help with the previous two goals. For instance, Morthor’s ability to leap large distances will help him to gain a better position to snipe the enemy. And when going head-on with an enemy, Morthor’s ability to dodge the bullets in certain conditions will come in handy as well.
More details about Pandaemonium, including the backstory, can be found in the "Design Document", available as an .pdf file: pandaemonium_design_doc.pdf, ~615 Kb

Silence from a mod team is either very good or very bad. Either they're working very hard and are too busy to tell the world about their progress or they've disappeared and can't be assed to tell the world about it.
I'm afraid that our case, it's mostly the latter; the Pandaemonium project has stalled in the last few months, as is unfortunately painfully obvious.
I'm afraid I must admit that this has mostly come to pass due to the way I've managed this project; my best wasn't good enough. I was, in the end, too lax and didn't keep enough in mind what the team needed and needs. As a result from the differences Fogmann and I have had about this, she will be leaving for greener pastures after having finished the models she is currently working on.
But, it would be wrong of me to put all of the blame on factors such as this one; in the end it's simply my own fault.
However, the above doesn't mean there's no hope. Team Pandaemonium hasn't become a one-man-show just yet and with the possibility of a merger with a project team, which has new courage, fresh talent and a compatible design, I've still got hope that Pandaemonium will be done one day.
Updates on the merger and the overall status will follow when they're available because at least I, personally, can still be assed about Pandaemonium ;)

Basicly, yes. Currently, the only things finished are the six concepts for Morthor and Alice and the design documents. I don't consider that 10%, the next option. It's more like 4 or 5%
Anyway, it's your good right to call those "just 2 pix" and "some lame text", respectively.
However, if you had visited the forums, you would've seen that the player model for Morthor is well underway and that we have a new enviroment artist.
Which reminds me, I need to make a news post about some things.
0% complete??
does this mean you have just drawn 2 pix and written some lame text??
Thanks, Collo :-) I also hope we'll have more to show soon, but I think it won't be all too long before we do.
wow, looking at the design doc. and the concepts, you ppl sertanly know what your doing. ts looking very promissing, looking forwart to see some more =D
Indeed, who knows? But, I've got a good ammount of trust that this team will pull it all off :-)
Thanks for visiting and the luck wish!
Thanks for the warm welcome John :) Im looking forward to making a kickass mod! Mod Community beware! I went to school with the other modeller on the team, and she is very talented and our leader ho I just met seems to know what he is doing as well, so I have a good feeling this will turn out to be a fun mod/experience. :P
