Over-Run
Half-Life 2 mod | TBD
Over-Run is a Half Life 2 zombie modification. We hope to make this different from other zombie mods. This is our updated list of features.
We plan to have at least 3 of the game modes in for the final release.
Here is what we plan for the Alpha/ Beta release.
Over-Run Mode: In this mode all players will be on the human team. They will be fighting against zombie AI controlled bots. These bots will try and hunt the players down and kill them.
The players have a certain amount of time to survive for and then they win. But if they get killed off they lose.
Some features for the Alpha/ Beta build.
- Walking zombies.
- Possibly a vehicle
- Alot of gore, increased blood splats, blood clouds.
Gibbing will hopefully be added in the future.
- Doom 3 style Flashlight
- Over 50 weapons!
- At least 5 charecters for Alpha/ Beta. We have concepts for 12 charecters though.
- Radio that plays in vehicles or you can play it where you want.
- Walkie talkies are used for communications.

Hey everybody.
Long time no speak.
Well first off, Over-Run is still alive. We are moving slowly along. We have lost alot of members, but gained some new ones.
Anyway, last month I was approacted by the magazine PC Games and PC Action, they wanted to put Over-Run in the mod for a preview thing. Even though it is only a small section about it, they said they want to do a full interview once the mod is nearly complete.
Onto other things, 42 of the 50 weapons are completed. Some need animations and UVs and such. Mapping is going good. Rocket_Robinhood is working on or_Mall and Ande has started a new map called or_Disco.
We are animating weapons too and just moving along. However, coding is very slow.
So if you are a coder please drop by. Also we are looking for charecter animators if you are interested.
Well, we will have a media release sometime, just remember, we are always alive, just slowly working along.

Sorry, I realised you didn't actually call this "survival horror", it's just I found this while searching for "survival horror" phrase.
Bah, multiplayer :I Sorry but you can't have survival horror in multiplayer. Killing zombies does not automatically make something survival horror .Survival horror is about being alone or in group of 2 or 3, 10 times outnumbered by inhuman monsters, suddenly being surprised by events you didn't see coming, not having much ammo, slim chance to stay alive, desperate need to escape alive, and a colorful storyline that makes you wonder how will things turn out next and eventually result in you being safe. To put it simple: survival horror genre was defined by game series like Resident Evil, Dino Crisis and Silent Hill. This mod is something else. Thats my opinion.

Man maybe you can make it so that you need fuel for the chainsaw.
Just a suggestion.
The modd sounds likes its gonna be fun i just thought I'de put forth a lil brain storming
1)Can only cary a limited number of weapons; This makes the game more challenging and realistic(no ones super man)
2)Some guns have flash lights on the end; a really good idea with limited weapons
3)You need a chain saw
