Outbreak: Condemned, a modification based on the classic series, Resident Evil. With Outbreak: Condemned we want to deliver one of the best Resident Evil experiences on the Source Engine. Features: Story: An original story involving our own characters, new monsters and interesting twists. Gameplay: The gameplay will have realistic actions and feeling, using voice acting we plan on making our character alive. Not just using vocal lines, but also breathing and other sounds. Monsters: Monsters in Resident Evil have always been creative. We want to use elements aswell as make our own creaures.
We reveal a new game mechanic, a skinned NPC and a screen overload from a new map.

Our mapper Cris has been working hard on making this street map. He has kindly given me this set of images for everyone to have a look.










Dec Doyle, the creator of the mod The Mortewood Plaza has been doing his Source Engine Magic! He has coded a classic First Person Shooter feature for Outbreak. Your health will be clearly shown in the form of on-screen blood effects, as your health gets worse your vision will be affected, becoming blurred, darker and harder to see the new threats that progress to finish you off.
The graphics are WIP and thanks to Bobby for making the graphics.

Bobby our texture artist has really out done himself this time, his texture has given the killing machine reptile a really great look.



Bobby has made a brand new set of blood decals.
From splats to sprinkles he has given a unique look to the gore in Outbreak,
making those head shots o so satisfying!
And yes......I did have a lot of fun gathering these screen shots!

I like the reptile, but do you mind giving him a neck?
To me, it looks like his head was physically dragged to the front of his chest.
Maybe having the head jut out from his chest might make him look more menacing, I'm not sure. All I know is that right now it looks....odd.
Bang up job on everything else, though.
I agree maybe I should have given him more of a neck, but the Hunter does not have much of a neck, it's head is kinda extruding out from it's chest.
Ah, I see the problem now. The hunter has a much more muscular torso than what you have. Try to fiddle around with that. ;)

I can't help but think that the hunter should be more muscular than it is. I mean, look at this screenshot: Freewebs.com
He's a lot wider in his arms and chest.
Also, the blood particles when you shoot the zombies is a little too red. They're rotting corpses, it should be a darker red, almost black.
the maps kinda reminds me of ZPS, but hey nice work.
When we include our massive library of custom props it will look nothing like HL2 or ZPS.
Love it ! More gore would suit the mood just fine.
