Nohra's Concealment will be a Half-Life singleplayer modification. It will feature new characters, a lot of custom content and will be story-driven predominantly.
Rendering/Compositing: Blender 2.63
It took me 4 or 5 days until I had managed to get a good lightning and paste in all the details like grass (that actually looks like GRASS), rocks and... more grass. Sometimes Blender can be a real pain in the *** but in the end its always (mostly) worth it (a waste of time) ;D
Well yeah... I wont say anything else yet.
Hope you like the atmosphere.
See you!
EDIT:
This is a rendered illustration made and rendered in Blender 2.63. It wont be seen in the later game!
(buried)
Hooooooooooooooooooooly... that completely p@wns Source and CryEngine! AMAZING!!!
Looks very good, i like this engine.
I can't wait to see this rendered in the gold source engine. It should still look fairly impressive due to the texture work.
Guys, guuuys, its just a rendered illustration made in a 3D tool called Blender. It wont be seen in the later game, at least not like this (that would be too good to be true :D).
How is this realated to the mod than ?
More a personal skill learning/showing art or ?
:)
Creating a sense of the games atmosphere, generating views and interest, showing the style of the game and so on.
Ofc its also a good exercise in modelling and compositing.
People seem not to understand the concept of moodboards...
I like it. You definatley didn't fail at demonstrating the atmosphere! Keep on!
Perfect, thanks! :D
Great work mate, surely shows the eerie feeling you have in your other works.
Any news on mapping progres?
Take care.
Thanks a lot!
Unfortunately there are no other news yet but I hope I can change that (wohoo, I bet I said that a thousand times now) :D
Very very well done ToTac, you sure have a talent and we can see that to anything you do! Lovely atmosphere in this one, I hope I get the same feeling ingame! Keep going and don't worry, HL1 will never die and GldSource engine is the best engine to show off your skills.
Hey :)
Thanks for your comment, great to see you.
Well, just an advice...
Blender's rendering is so good as you can see. If you can do coding, how about...adding the rendering code of Blender into goldsrc engine's code? Source code of Blender is available to download.
Wow, that would be... I dont know, huge. Even if I were a coder (which I am certainly not) I wouldn't see a slight chance to mix something like GoldSRC and the Blender game engine.
Nono, I am thinking of using something else already.
Nice Blender work. Motivation or possible cover work ? ;-)
The cliff textures remind me of Black Mesa Source.
