Nohra's Concealment will be a Half-Life singleplayer modification. It will feature new characters, a lot of custom content and will be story-driven predominantly.

If it's model based you can use skin group to change the skin, it's quite easy just look at the hgrunt code to see how it's done
Great work by the way

Thats not what I meant, but thanks anyway!
The problem is to change the texture ingame, theres no way to trigger something with an empty func_recharge, at least I dont know how to do it without adding new code to the game.
But like I said, thank you :)

Good job! What I'd do is make a model version of the func_recharge (Pretty easy), and change the skin when the armor inside in is 0

As I said on Facebook... very very nice!

"I am still not sure how to handle the whole full/empty stuff"

There's two ways to do that, either;

1) Delete that part of the model and use a brush with func_healthcharge applied with that new high-res texture.

2) Use two different skingroups (one for power depleted and another for full) and set up an env_render to "delete" the full model when out of juice and "create" the empty model in it's place.

You're obviously an experienced mapper so I think you know what I mean, further explanation is available if you need it. It would be better to go with option 2 imho.

Thaaat would be quite a good solution, indeed there is no way to trigger anything with a func_recharge, neither in Half-Life nor in SoHL, as far as I know.
I just looked it up and tried to add "target" to it manually, didn't work. I will just have to wait for a coder who wants to help me out.

Thank you anyway :)

If that's just adding something like a skin change to the hev charger with a model based entity I can do that shoudln't be too hard I think

what if you make new point entity, that based bit off func_recharger, but with your own improwements etc...(but this places the model), and if empty, the recharger animation state changed from 1 to 2...

Of course this would be a good solution, but where can I "buy" some coding skills ? ;)

Never mind, thanks to everyone for the comment btw.

Oh, just nice! Kinda cartoon-ish I think?

For the behaviour, easy peasy! Check Rebirth's code at our forums. I used HL PS2's health charger (which works nicely), but you can still check it to know how to change the body (pev->body). That way, when the charger is empty, will appear in red (also you can trigger another sexy stuff).

Also a good way, thanks for that.
Oh and yes, I always had the opinion, that Half-Life looks kind of "cartoon-ish", thats why want to preserve this look a bit.

Description

A new modelled version of the HEV remake, yet not added to the game.
- still WIP
- final version may vary
- I am still not sure how to handle the whole full/empty stuff (changing the texture from green to red)
EDIT:
Well, to explain that a little bit more detailed, of course there wont be a problem to handle the animation/texture switch, if there was a coder helping me, or I would have coding skills myself. Without that, I wont be able to manage anything you suggest.
But thank you for any suggestion.
