i have to reboot my cpu due to a Stackhash error if there is a fix for this that doesnt require a complete reboot will you comment on this news it would be helpful. i can not load any of my modeling programs at all so until i can fix this error this mod is in hold..... hopefully not indefinably.....please post a response if you have a fix for this..........

what exactly is the error? and what where you doing when it happend? what are your pc specs?

it is windows 7 351gb open out of 451gb
and i meant rebuild not reboot that was a accident

no i did not
i have also reinstalled and installed the program with little avail either.....
and i did everything on there....and how exactly do you run out of ram on a new cpu....... maybe pictures
it depends, how much ram does your system have?
ram is used when your using a program lets say a web broser the program is load from your harddrive then stored in your ram for use. and if you have more programs running than your system has ram for then your system will not have enough. however your system does have a secindary ram (it uses the a small space pre-allocated on your harddrive, this will be increased if atomaticly if thair is not enough) i beleve it is called vram or a vertural memery.
but if i remember corectly not all programs can use vram effectly. if thats not the case than the data put on the ram could be crupted.
edit:did you shut down your computer for at least 30 secinds before you rebuted agen

i know that this Stackhash error means that you ran out of ram or your computer is trying to access ram that has crupted data in it.
my explnation then go to "http://tdistler.com /2009/04/10/stackhash-and-application -crashes-on-windows" remove the space after ".com" and "-application" scrole down to the 7th comment by toby.

go to control panal
if on catigory view click on system andd security
look under system
click on view the amount of RAM and prosessing speed
this will desplay the your computer information including how much ram you have
after that if you want to know how much ram your system is using right now,
ctrl-alt-delete
click on Start Task Manager
under task maniger press the performance tab and it will tell how much memery you are using at this time (or in task maniger look at the vary botom right and you will see Phisical Memory, this will give you a pesentage of how much ram you are using.)

also did you Shutdown the computer for 30 seconds after uninstalling the application and removing the files left in the program folder (not the mod data, just the files left over from the uninstall), then installing the program agen?

when i try to start the program it happens i cant even load a scene or anything i have another cpu gonna try softimage on it hopefully it works i just need to get unsick damn fever
sorry to hear that, hope you feel better. did you try to install it to a non-defalt defalt ex. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire" non-defalt ex. "C:\Soase"
EDIT: i'm sorry if this sounds odd.
EDIT2: do you use a 64-bit or a 32-bit win 7?
it is 64bit and yes but softimage wont let me install it anywhere else but the regular install directory
if you have a 64-bit system (dont know about 32-bit) did have uac enabled if you do did you clean out the virtural store in "C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)" or "C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming"
if you didnt after you uninstalled this could be the problem.
EDDIT: just say your post (and this may not fix it but it is worth a shot) you may need to uninsatll, do what is above shut down for 30 seconds at least then turn on your computer, install the the software, restart the system then start the apps.
EDIT2: i cant beleve i forgot this d you have the most current version of the software.
i cannot beleve i forgot agean for you to beable to see the appdata folder you will need to under folder options make shure show hidin files is slected and un-check hide extenchens of known file typs.
also the location might be different depending on what the application is, but it will be in one of the folders/subfolders in appdata.
and it didnt work..... :(
it seems like i am going to end up having to either pay for or torrent the 64bit version of xsi..... i have blender working but cant figure it out....
the only thing i can sugest is go too the publishers website and post your problem on thair forms.
