About the mod, do you have a storyline which includes how the robots were created, my guess would be that humans created them once upon a time and died out for some reason and possibly one or a few robots had artificial intelligence.
This led them to be able to create a new world, what killed the humans may only have done that pr some other species could have been affected as well.
The Mod looks a bit strange, but interesting :)
