It can only be built ONE TIME? That's a significant nerf. That makes it even LESS useful, it doesn't matter how much cheaper you made it. xD

What would make it so much more useful is if you greatly extended the period it's activated for. It's original intention was to block Nod's super weapons. But on big maps half the time when you heard "Missile Launch Detected" and activated your Firestorm, the Firestorm would wear off before the missile even got to you. Leading to nobody ever using it.

As well, it takes absolutely forever to charge. Personally, I think it should be much more useful than just blocking Super Weapons, but at least it does something. =p

yea I'm not happy with the duration and the recharge time as well.

I found it to be too expensive to be viable no matter how powerfull it is. If you make it in a match against humans to techupgrade 3 you have already invested a lot of money. Another 2000$ for a building that does nothing without the wall segments that also cost a lot was the main problem IMO.

With the generator being free of charge (200$) it makes you want to build it if only to close down a road on the map or defend a building. But with it being free you could also instantly rebuild it when destroyed. See it that way, you can build walls around your generator and just imagine how good it must feel for Nod to blow it up and how eagerly GDI defends it.

I gave it a lot more health as well so its not that easy to destroy.

Agreed, but a price of 500$-800$ Sounds more balanced IMO.
Well, The "Can only be built once" sounds weird but i guess that's the "balance" that comes at such a low price.

Allow me to share a thought regarding the In-Game Fire Storm Generator "FSG"
-To make it Both balanced and Reasonable (can be built again like all other buildings) you could make it Explode when Destroyed.

-making it Both a Usefull Tool for GDI to Protect their base & a key building for enemy Commander's to seek n' destroy when attacking to potentially damage owner's base when failing to protect it <3

I'm a big fan of C&C Tiberian Sun and i like your mod, you did a Nice Job!

Thanks for the kind words :)

Buildings blowing up violently is a Red Alert 2 feature. The TS engine is a real pain when it comes to area damage. A good suggestion though.

Additional to the cost it also needs a whole lot of power.

Description

The next addon includes a few changes to some game elements.

The Firestorm generator is something I pretty much forgot about which kinda speaks for how unpractical it used to be xD

But now that changed.

After the 3rd Tech upgrade the Firestorm Generator can be built for almost free but only once. The inactive Wall segments are invincible to all damage forms. Ofc its a power hog.

This makes such death traps viable but gives Nod the task to destroy the Generator once and for all rendering all wall segments worthless. I'll keep that in mind for some mission ;)
