Opposing Source is a Half-Life 2 total conversion progressing towards the recreation of Half-Life: Opposing Force on the Source Engine. The development team wants to recreate the second installment of the award-winning series known as Half-Life, where the player takes on the role as Cpl. Adrian Shephard as he is stranded in the Black Mesa Research Facility during 'The Lambda Incident'. The rational behind Opposing Source is to rebuild the levels, redevelop the textures and introduce new elements which will revolutionize the way Black Mesa was played.
New poly counts on the monsters, weapons, NPC's and other items will allow us to construct a living and breathing world, full of interest and physics that will drive you mad. If you feel you have the dedication and talent to help out with this modification, drop a line in on the forums with some previous work. If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments or more feel free to also drop us a line. Everything is well accepted.

We, The OP4Source Team are extremely proud and excited to bring you the first official Opposing Source media release. Over the last few months we have been working in secret, with very little contact with the broader Half-Life 2 community. We now, however, feel that the time is right to officially announce the Opposing Source total conversion for Half Life 2.
Opposing Source is a total conversion dedicated to recreating the first Half Life Expansion Pack -Opposing Force- over to the groundbreaking Source™ Engine. Not only are the graphics better, but the gameplay and maps have been enhanced to take full advantage of all that Source™ has to offer.

This was not a sequel, it was a remake of Opposing Force, like with Half Life and Black Mesa: Source.
*sigh* this is the last opsing force 2 mod left
Hopefully so, next attempt we gotta rework our ethics.
At the time, I was completely new to leading a mod, since before, I was only a Graphics Artist and PR on a few C&C mods. Its no wonder the project collapsed.
Since then, I have been on a few projects and my general attitudes have changed completely, having gained more experience.
When Black Mesa: Source is released to the public, I may rebuild the project from the ground up.
