They look very nice, I like how you kept the concept of the HL1 Marines.

sorry but it looks like duct tape armor...should be the same style as the pants. also, the pouches should be on the sides, not right under the armor plates. they would be tough to get into with the armor plates blocking them. im just saying this because i have had to wear body armor all day and i know how these things work lol

I know that lots of time can go into organic modelling and I give credit where credit is given. But I think it needs a good redesign or a nice tune up.

Where is the reason to reduce his karma? :3

The helmet looks nice, the pants and arms could use some detailing, they drag the quality of the rest of the model down since they're so plain. Add some dirt, zombie blood stains that they've tried to wash of, scorchmarks, rank, platoon or army type insignia. I see the (rust?) marks on the bottom of the pants, but thats almost the most interesting part of the model tbh.

Like Zonbine said, the vest looks a bit plastic. Work over that, the gasmask (especially the lenses) and the pouchstrap around the waist (its so straight it looks like a GI Joe doll detail).

It's a good first attempt, but like Dredile posted, it could use a redesign or a nice tune-up.

I think they look a little unproportionate.

I LOVE the marine but a few things kinda kill it for me.The chest-plate is one of them.It looks as if it is a block of steel, not shaped out to be armor, maybe thin it out a bit and spread it further around the body in the same type of shape as the original P.C.V vest. Also put some type of damage on the gas mask, it looks as if it is brand new.Overall I would give it a 8/10 as it is beautifully put together, it looks like there is a lot of thought in its design and it has great potential as a character/model.

The chest plate could be improved, but looks great overall.

Also, when I got a hand on the leaked version *cough*, I was impressed by the fact we could still see the eyes of the Marines behind their helmet googles, I hope it Will still be there, it was funny to Walk and see their eyes watching me all along.

I'm with dafatcat, even them being somewhat militarized soldiers from the seven hour war, they shouldn't be wearing such perfect armor and things, they should have more scratches on the vest and these types of things on the rest of the clothes too, like you made in the end of the legs and the boots.

Not bad not bad at all but it could have more to it. For example some more real US military equipment would be used since they are X US Marines, & military in general. A side arm holster on the left or right leg would be needed. A Modular tactical vest would also make more sense as well.

The soldier plate carrier system "SPCS" is a more reinforced version of the modular tac vest with ceramic ballistic plate inserts used by both the Army & Marines.

Interceptor Body Armor which is primarily used by the Army.

Improved Load Bearing Equipment "ILBE" basically a backpack which would be needed if the Phoenix Marines intended to carry out any real extended combat ops against the combine.

Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment "MOLLE" is also used by the Army & is plentiful in US stockpiles so thus it would be common to see.

This doesn't look right at all. Their chest plates look like they were made with duct tape and that the legs are spindles of wood. I would suggest going back and redoing them. Also, they look too clean, so some wear and tear on their armor and their clothing would look nice to show a struggle they fight in.

Doesn't look quite right. It just looks strange compared to the other models shown. Looks plain in many areas.

To be honest the model looks rather dry. There is not much going on with it and it is not very visually appealing. It seems as though that this particular model is a step backwards from the other things that have been posted.

I like the whole model, apart from the mask, there are loads of much cooler looking gasmask designs than that, just saying coz the face dosent do the rest of the model justice.

also could do with more equipment around the legs and rear, think about it, these soldiers are going to war against the combine, theyre gonna need all they can carry!

It's the camoflauge i like, however i think the head and other details need redoing, the more i look at it, the less appropriate the armour plate looks, perhaps reshape it and change the colour of it. also i think the clothing looks a little too tight, make it so it looks more baggy and loose fitting.
