Operation Peacekeeper is a modern warfare modification for the popular game Battlefield 2, based on a fictional developement of the actual Kosovo conflict.
The mod features two different sides - the German Bundeswehr and the Serbian VSCG - engaing in the rough and mountainous terrain of kosovo.
Both use state of the art military weapon systems like the German Leopard 2A6 MBT, as well as older, but yet still effective equipment, like the russian build Mi24V Hind E used by the Serbian forces. For a complete list of the vehicles and weapons just visit the media section of the OPK-homepage.
The maps cover a large array of diferent settings, such as for example a domestic port, a small village somewhere in the mountains, or a military airport attacked by German airborne troops. Each map also covers another aspect of gameplay - some of the maps are rather small and feature intensive close quarter infantry battle, while others take place in more open but still hilly locations which are perfect for tanks supported by helicopters etc.

After a long time we want to give you a sign of life and some updates.
Today you will get the Greenmap and some facts about the new OPK-Server. In addition to that we want to restart the OPK-Fightnight.
First of all, a little Update for the moviemakers of our community: As you wished on our forums we developed a "Greenmap". Murdoc built the map, that allows to cut out vehicles or complete scenes and for example add an other background. This effect can already be seen in the movie "Desktop Battlefield" by the SirCommunity. The Greenmap is not nessesary for the normal use of OPK
Next point is to announce, that we moved the website, the forums and other services to an own server. Some of you might have noticed the little change in the forums URL. The old Domains will remain and will work as they did before. With the new Hardware we hope that the server will stay availlable when a new version is released and not break down as it happened often enough. This change also means, that some parts of the hosting is no longer being done by TS-Rent. Thank you very much for the incredible support by Flüstertüte and Andy. We hope to stay friends and see you as we did before.
As a last point we want to restart the OPK-Fightnight wich will be starting this weeks friday. Every week at 8:00 PM we hope to see you on the OPK-Server by the SPM-Clan. We look forward to play some nice rounds of OPK with our community. We, the devs and Beta-testers will try to be there to make it possible to have a direct connection to many OPK-Members. one of the best mods out there! OPK2 and POE2 rock!
i just downloaded the torrent OPK2_026_full.rar and when i try to extract it. it asks for a password. please help.
The mod is full with bugs! The infantry walks too slow, slower than in original bf2, the M84 is slightly lower at the back, and higher at the front! Just like someone put some extra weith at the back end of the tank...

i do not understand you correctly i guess...
if you wnat to play online you need the latest version (currently 0.27).
you can download it here: Opkmod.de
we do not recommend our older versions, because they have bugs and not the full content...

Do you have to have the old versions or can you just dl the latest and Install&Play from there?
I give this mod a 10+ because just look at it its got the helicopters i love its bringing back all the classic vehicles its just great im getting it right now and the new release looks great its gonna make me play BF2 alot more thx guys!
Reason why there aren't any US players is because you can't play as anybody from the US. So you can't really change it which is a shame.
I'm from the UK and I like to play this mod because for once you get to play as a German with German-made weaponry which is definatly a change from who I usually play as.
we'd like to see you on the battlefield and please give us some feedback!
