Operation Peacekeeper is a modern warfare modification for the popular game Battlefield 2, based on a fictional development of the actual Kosovo conflict. The mod features two different sides - the German Bundeswehr and the Serbian VSCG - engaging in the rough and mountainous terrain of Kosovo. Both use state of the art military weapon systems like the German Leopard 2A6 MBT, as well as older, but yet still effective equipment, like the Russian build Mi24V Hind E used by the Serbian forces. The maps cover a large array of different settings, such as for example a domestic port, a small village, or a military airport attacked by German airborne troops.
In this news we present the tactical MG H&K MG 4. It will be part of the new release.

After 0.21 many questions where coming up how we will continue the kit system in upcoming releases. There is one clear answer for the MG-Class: The MG4 does in fact appear in OPK.
As the lighter one of the two MGs it will be part of the basic equipment in OPK. It will be a valuable support weapon with very unique qualities for the KFOR troops. The heavier MG3 makes its appearance in the upgrade class.
In OPK we will have two versions available, which will contain the Reflex Sight. Which will be the standard sight on the MG. The upgraded version of the MG will have a zoom scope which will replace the reflex sight.
As every time we will give you some data about the weapon:
Calibre: 5.56 mm x 45
Speed of Projectile: 920 m/s
Range: 4000 m
Effective Range: 1000 m
Rate of firing: 850 - 900 shots per minute
- 1030 mm (stock extended)
- 835 mm (stock collapsed)
- 450 mm (without muzzle break)
- 7,9 kg (with barrel and bipod)
- 1,7 kg (barrel)
- 0,65 kg (bipod)
As Nightmare did with all the other weapons he will adjust the MG4 to BF2 ratios.
But now some pictures for you:
