Operation Multiverse is a project I have been wanting to do for a long time. The goal of this mod is to combine all of the characters, items, and weapons from some of the original first person shooters. In the end there will be a new episode that ties all the stories of Duke, Wolfenstein, Doom, Blood, and Shadow Warrior together. Until then though, the Duke Nukem episode has been setup for random mode.

How do you install the update? when I overwrite the 1.0 files I get the normal Duke Nukem game.

Feedback on the game (just played the outside hollywood and entrance to cinema).:

1. the weapons need E pressed to pick up, you should make it just pick up by walking on it (like the original game).
2. unbalanced: there's high tier enemies in the first level and the gatling gun is available too soon.
3. why is the main menu a wallpaper of Wolfenstein? will the multiverse be divided for each game, only Wolfenstein enemies in one version, Doom only in another etc.? I think you should mix enemies and weapons from different universes in each level (not necessary to have at least 1 enemy and weapon from each game in every level). If you could make weapons and enemies randomly appear for each playthrough that would be good too, although that will cause balance issues.

Could you please explain to me, how to make a continous gameplay, without episode selection or weapons loses and the end. I tried to do this myself in original Duke3d, but failed.

Well while it's a good idea, the problem is the max number of levels per episode is 32. Since Duke has more levels than that, you can't do the whole game in one episode. Otherwise the only other thing you have to change is the episode end code for when you beat the final bosses. The Line "endofgame 52" is in the dying state for every boss in the game, so if you change that to something that advances the level number instead you would be good to go.

I tried this as a replacement for "endofgame 52", it didn't work but, this is the kinda thing you need. If you can't get that to work you could replace "endofgame 52" with spawn ACCESSCARD, to have the boss drop a blue key card upon death. Then you could add a nuke button behind a key card door in the boss maps. Hope this is helpful.

Hey guys, just wanted to post something of an update for this mod. I'm sorry progress has been slow, but that hopefully shouldn't be the case anymore. The way I was going about adding in the content from the other games was very poorly planned. By this I mean, I would add things and move on only to have to adjust the "completed" parts again and again. Because of this I have taken some time to figure out the best plan for making this mod come together much faster. What i'll be doing is adding all the content in this order...
1) pickup items (all games)
2) projectiles (all games)
3) weapons (all games and more?)
4) enemies and other NPC's (all games)
5) map tiles and such (all games)
This is the plan right now, ill post an update at each step. Unfortunately this means there wont be much to do in terms of game play at the beginning, but i'll try to put together some temporary maps for playing around with the new features. The last thing I wanted to ask was regarding the weapons. Right now only the weapons from the games listed in the mod will be added. however people have be suggesting I add more from other games. So leave your thoughts below and theres a good chance that they'll make it into the game. (thinking outlaws and redneck rampage weapon currently)

Wow, I'm seriously excited for this. I definitely hope this project goes far. I've always wanted Duke, Lo Wang, and Caleb in the same game! Keep up the good work, man. So far, what I've seen you do with Wolfenstein is promising. Do you plan on doing much in the way of new maps, or is this solely just to integrate the characters/enemies into Duke 3D?

The goal of this mod in the end is to create a story that brings all the characters together. That means a whole episode of levels where Duke, Lo Wang, Doom Guy, BJ, and Caleb are working side by side.
