No. If you would've read the mod description, you'd know that you play as a scientist at Black Mesa.
How is the mod now?
In all honesty? Hard at work. Currently working on a new idea to improve part of the free-roam/ puzzle aspect of the game.
Operation Lambda and Black Mesa will be epic!!!
Just want to let everybody know the we are progressing at a very steady rate at current. Most of us have a pretty tough term at the moment which has become extremely time consuming but once it's out of the way you can expect some very nice updates.
