Multiplayer Beta Release Q1 2014 Cancelled

Our plan to bring you the multiplayer beta of Operation Black Mesa early this year didn't work out, regrettably. Several factors and circumstances forced us to completely keep it under the hood until further notice.

Multiplayer Progress

Multiplayer will feature classic maps such as Yard, Crossfire and Boot Camp as well as brand-new ones like Deptcharge and Gambit from day 1.
Currently in development: CTF mode and weapon placement.

Depthcharge

Singleplayer Campaign

Development is running smoothly; those NPCs aren't going to animate themselves though! If you're interested in joining our team, check out the jobs page where you can find all positions currently open. We look forward to welcoming you on board!

Pit Worm's Nest

Remember Guard Duty (Blue Shift: Source)? We're making solid progress here too:

Living Quarters Outbound

OBM: The Video Game?

We've been given the option of developing our projects as full indie titles to be sold on Steam!
This opens up a whole lot of attractive possibilities to consider; however no decision has been reached yet as to this matter.

Thanks for your support in making all of this possible!

Lets get one thing straight poisonheadcrab, and all of you other guys while we're at it! All of the work here is W.I.P, and as such, its open to all kinds of changes based on constructive criticism from the community.

The reason why the OpBM feels offended is because of the fact that if they make it to much like it looked in Half-Life 1, then they get bashed, not only by BMS fanboys, but also by the BMS devs who seem to live in some strange fantasyworld were they got allmighty right to decide what is straight copies of their work, and what is work based on the original Half-Life series ... Last time that happened, i even got some death threats (not from the BMS devs though) ...

Now, what happens when the OpBM-team tries to go with their own style? Well, they get bashed! "it difers to moch form the oroginal" ... I mean ... WTF?? Feel free to come with constructive criticism on how to change things ... But if its just gonna be "Your work sucks, and your NEVVA gonna change it!", then they can get along just fine whitout it!

you have a great option to say "screw you guy's , we made a bullsquid and it must be like this"
The OPF mod was based on hl1 and not only engine...i don't know why you didn't use it like a main argument

About "your own style"
You making a REMAKE , when you making REMAKE with your own style , its became REMAKE of REMAKE which not good .

You have an option now - make an OPF or make something else which wouldn't be succesfull

In which parallel universe exactly would you're claim work?
Opposing Force wasn't a remake, it was an expansion of Half Life- which means that it's a content that expands the original story.
So with what deformed logic would their remake be a REMAKE of a REMAKE?
There's a term which exist for almost 3000 years now, it's called a COPY OF A COPY... If you don't know it, you don't understand it, and I ain't going to explain the level of worthlessness that term brings to any kind of a product. And you and four other individuals today (in the 21st century) are insisting that this team conducts that exact term into their product. Thing that you are insisting on is not called a remake, it's called a RE BRUSH, BRUSH UP, or a RESTORATION.
Their are many people that already made this happen, edited Opposing Force and Half Life content to give it a bit higher quality, and none of those people claimed that they REMADE IT.

You didn't read my post carefull
I didn't say that OPF is REMAKE
I did say that OpBM became a REMAKE of REMAKE , because they trying to make thier own style , not the original style (and now i mean god damn monsters)
COPY of COPY / RESTORATION - this terms means to make EXACTLY like it was , the difference is only material which used for it . Example of it - HL1 Source
RE BRUSH / BRUSH UP is adding something that missing (in picture or somewhere else)
So your point is totaly demagogy for me.I see "Source conversion" in info and i thought it means that they make it Source like , not their own

And btw , stop trying to change my opinion , because its my opinion

I'm not trying to change you're opinion, why should I care, I'm trying to debate it in order to let the people that end up here for the first time know that there are users that disagree with you're opinion. If you don't like it, you shouldn't write you're comments anywhere.
And actually you haven't read my post carefully, I didn't accuse you for claiming that Opposing Force was a remake (that might sounded like that at first, sorry on that behalf), I said that that's the only way you're claim would have any sense, you can't have a "remake of a remake" in no possible universe if you're not remaking content that remade other content, even if you add you're stuff into it, or not.
Now if you read their info more carefully, and not just jump into conclusions you would see these lines also:

» Complete re-creation of all 12 chapters from the original.
» Models that push the limits of the Source Engine.

1.You can't have any sort of creation (yes even re-creation) without creativity
2. You can't actually claim that the current Opposing Force concepts are capable of pushing the limits of an engine that was build SIX years after those concepts were made.

And since it says that they are making a Source conversion, in order to do so they need a sensible reason for it, why would you put something inside an advanced engine if it doesn't compliment to engines capabilities- which again the existing concepts don't.
If they don't change or add anything concerning the design then there's no actual reason to put those creatures into Source.
It would be like porting Space Invaders into Quake 2 and instead of modeling real space ships, just making colossal cubes with one color applied to it.

1st - i have that stuff named "freedom of the speach" which means - you , go , to hell , with "you shouldn't write you're comments anywhere." because its my choose .
There is alot of people who like it ON THIS PAGE but i think i have to write once again - go to hell - so you can't miss it now . (my point here - if this person , who want to know about good commets , this person need scroll down)

That about first part of your message because you found reasons which i found not comprehensible to say on PUBLIC forum

Well you said enough to make me watch on this mod in other way
Now i don't care about bullsquid and maps
And i stoped following that mod , so i don't care about anymore

As i know you are not a team member and all that stuff which you wrote...well i think someone doesn't like this and doesn't waiting for this

BTW when i showed this screens of "welcome to black mesa" chapter , everyone start saying "i hope its a w.i.p."

Now what have I actually done here? I haven't called you names, I haven't insulted you in anyway, I only challenged your opinion and you immediately become like: "go to hell!"
Hell I'm not even tracking this mod, I came here and saw a couple of guys picking on a team because they've chosen to go for a more creative way.
