Welcome to our first media update this year!

Multiplayer Beta Release Q1 2014 Cancelled

Our plan to bring you the multiplayer beta of Operation Black Mesa early this year didn't work out, regrettably. Several factors and circumstances forced us to completely keep it under the hood until further notice.

Multiplayer Progress

Multiplayer will feature classic maps such as Yard, Crossfire and Boot Camp as well as brand-new ones like Deptcharge and Gambit from day 1.
Currently in development: CTF mode and weapon placement.

Singleplayer Campaign

Development is running smoothly; those NPCs aren't going to animate themselves though! If you're interested in joining our team, check out the jobs page where you can find all positions currently open. We look forward to welcoming you on board!

Pit Worm's Nest

Remember Guard Duty (Blue Shift: Source)? We're making solid progress here too:

Living Quarters Outbound

OBM: The Video Game?

We've been given the option of developing our projects as full indie titles to be sold on Steam!
This opens up a whole lot of attractive possibilities to consider; however no decision has been reached yet as to this matter.

Alien Controller

M1A1 Tank

Thanks for your support in making all of this possible!

Until next time,
Tripmine Dev Team

As a matter of fact the development of Operation Black Mesa had begun a long ago.... I began to wonder, if we can expext a release in 2010.
Anyway, this mod will rock when it comes out, and I'll download it whenever it'll be released.

Well, the previous team started it in 2006 and kept doing it until 2007, then they stopped. This team has only been doing it since late 2007/2008 and they are using almost no work from the previous team, so it IS pretty early after all!

Not pre-production or anything like that, mind you, but still not late!

Any timetable for a release date for this awesome mod? Black Mesa might be releasing at the end of the year. This looks far from done and Opposing Force 2 will be hitting its demo this month.

There's a possible chance that Black Mesa is the best free add-on mod of all game add-ons, especially when that add-on is better and bigger than HL2! Operation Black Mesa could come in second and Opposing Force 2 could come in third.

Operation Black Mesa could come after Opposing Force 2

Well, the release date depends on how many new members join the mod. There are a lot of new members needed to speed up the development.

Agreed with Zitax. It really depends on the amount of team members and the amount active. It also depends on how much community support there is.

I guess what it boils down really is the demand.

Don't rush to develop just take your time I don't mind if you do slow in fact delaying were been good instead of rushing.
