Multiplayer Beta Release Q1 2014 Cancelled

Our plan to bring you the multiplayer beta of Operation Black Mesa early this year didn't work out, regrettably. Several factors and circumstances forced us to completely keep it under the hood until further notice.

Multiplayer Progress

Multiplayer will feature classic maps such as Yard, Crossfire and Boot Camp as well as brand-new ones like Deptcharge and Gambit from day 1.
Currently in development: CTF mode and weapon placement.

Depthcharge

Singleplayer Campaign

Development is running smoothly; those NPCs aren't going to animate themselves though! If you're interested in joining our team, check out the jobs page where you can find all positions currently open. We look forward to welcoming you on board!

Pit Worm's Nest

Remember Guard Duty (Blue Shift: Source)? We're making solid progress here too:

Living Quarters Outbound

OBM: The Video Game?

We've been given the option of developing our projects as full indie titles to be sold on Steam!
This opens up a whole lot of attractive possibilities to consider; however no decision has been reached yet as to this matter.

Alien Controller

M1A1 Tank

Thanks for your support in making all of this possible!

Until next time,

Is it possible fot it to be released this year? I mean BM started about 7 yrs ago and OPBM only started about 2 yrs ago so i think it will probably be a few more years.

It would be very awesome for it to be released in 2010 but the longer it gets developed the more awesomeness the devs will be able to put into it. But i would think maybe early 2011.

This mod is never going to be released until after Opposing Force 2 is done. OF2 shall become this year's mod of the year.

I thought Black Mesa and this mod will be the mods of the century, not just this one.

I don't understand why all the teams making Black Mesa, Operation Black Mesa and Guard Duty don't work together?? I mean wouldn't it be great? It would speed up development time to no end I'm sure.

It's more complicated then that. All three teams are on diffirent stages in development, wich means that the Black Mesa team would probably not benefit a whole lot from sharing stuff whitin the teams, seeing as they have almost all of their stuff done allready.

Besides, it would be boring just to play the same version over and over. If they shared stuff, then they would have to follow all the same guidlines ... Now, they can take all the liberties they want, seeing as they havn't got to follow the other teams designs etc
