Multiplayer Beta Release Q1 2014 Cancelled

Our plan to bring you the multiplayer beta of Operation Black Mesa early this year didn't work out, regrettably. Several factors and circumstances forced us to completely keep it under the hood until further notice.

Multiplayer Progress

Multiplayer will feature classic maps such as Yard, Crossfire and Boot Camp as well as brand-new ones like Deptcharge and Gambit from day 1.
Currently in development: CTF mode and weapon placement.

Singleplayer Campaign

Development is running smoothly; those NPCs aren't going to animate themselves though! If you're interested in joining our team, check out the jobs page where you can find all positions currently open. We look forward to welcoming you on board!

Pit Worm's Nest

Remember Guard Duty (Blue Shift: Source)? We're making solid progress here too:

Living Quarters Outbound

OBM: The Video Game?

We've been given the option of developing our projects as full indie titles to be sold on Steam!
This opens up a whole lot of attractive possibilities to consider; however no decision has been reached yet as to this matter.

Alien Controller

M1A1 Tank

Thanks for your support in making all of this possible!

Until next time,
Tripmine Dev Team

KazakHD5660, Both mods are good so much like OBM and BMS, none is better or worse than the other.

I think that BMS, OBM and Guard Duty should be released as individual games! It will be convenient for all, as I think. Because this games is really important for many people.

Really? I thought that it will be only modification of HL2, and I will be forced to buy episode 2...

EliteAssassin Dec 13 2010 replied:

Oh sorry I dont really understand what you meant. Well I think Black mesa runs on the HL2 engine and I think the other two run on the episode 2 engine? I dont really know what OBM and BS run on though.

Flexoo Dec 14 2010 replied:

I meant that BM and OBM would be as a complement to half-life 2(not that they will be on same engine). I'd better like to see them as individual games. Its will be more comfortable for me =)

Yeah that probably would be good.

I am more of a Black Mesa fan, therefore I know that Black Mesa will only need a game with source engine to run. Black Mesa is using the Episode Two version of the Source Engine, but it won't particularly require EP 2 to run, just a game with source engine on steam. Here is the list of the possible games: Store.steampowered.com

Currently Guard Duty needs EP2, but by release we hope to get it to the same state as BM, only requiring the base content.
