Operation: Black Mesa is a total Source remake of Half Life: Opposing Force. Using the Source engine, the developers plan to recreate the Black Mesa research Facility as it was seen by Corporal Adrian Shephard of the H.E.C.U. Half-life: Opposing Force is still an amazing game, although it's not nearly as amazing as it was when it was released. Read More...

Welcome to our first media update this year!

Multiplayer Beta Release Q1 2014 Cancelled

Our plan to bring you the multiplayer beta of Operation Black Mesa early this year didn't work out, regrettably. Several factors and circumstances forced us to completely keep it under the hood until further notice.

Multiplayer Progress

Multiplayer will feature classic maps such as Yard, Crossfire and Boot Camp as well as brand-new ones like Deptcharge and Gambit from day 1.
Currently in development: CTF mode and weapon placement.

Singleplayer Campaign

Development is running smoothly; those NPCs aren't going to animate themselves though! If you're interested in joining our team, check out the jobs page where you can find all positions currently open. We look forward to welcoming you on board!

Pit Worm's Nest

Remember Guard Duty (Blue Shift: Source)? We're making solid progress here too:

Living Quarters Outbound

OBM: The Video Game?

We've been given the option of developing our projects as full indie titles to be sold on Steam!
This opens up a whole lot of attractive possibilities to consider; however no decision has been reached yet as to this matter.

Alien Controller

M1A1 Tank

Thanks for your support in making all of this possible!

Until next time,
Tripmine Dev Team

Don't worry, it's a source engine game, if it doesn't have coop, i'll add it myself via file/map swaps and console commands for the weapons. I really hope it does though cus you can do this already with Black Mesa Source yet it ALWAYS crashes at some point or if another player touches a barnacle.

Does this mod require Source SDK Base 2007?

Indeed we are still alive, Updates may be few and far between now but it's for a good reason and I'll just quickly explain why.

Creating a media update requires time & effort, now as we have mentioned before, we work on this in our spare time, we all have jobs/university/families etc so every bit of time we do spend working on OBM & GD is spent making content.

A media update comes about when we have a nice amount of fresh content to show to everyone, stuff that will not only show progress on the mod, but also the direction we are going we the areas we are showing, this takes time as it usually means focusing on one area and getting it ready to public viewing (we would show you lots of lovely dev work but it's boring and not very interesting to look at)

We appreciate that everyone is waiting for an update, really we do, we've worked really hard on what we've made so far and we really want to share it with you all, there will be an update, I can't say when but it won't be long, just hang in there a little bit longer.

To everyone that is supporting us, we really appreciate your patience while we continue work on OBM & GD.

Much Love.

A simple screenshot and some text takes roughly 15 minutes for me.
It would be great to know how slow development really is. Btw upload that picture from facebook to moddb too please :)
