Operation: Black Mesa is a total Source remake of Half Life: Opposing Force. Using the Source engine, the developers plan to recreate the Black Mesa research Facility as it was seen by Corporal Adrian Shephard of the H.E.C.U. Half-life: Opposing Force is still an amazing game, although it is not nearly as amazing as it was when it was released.

OBM is crushing BMS and OP42. Especially because of number of updates. Quality is better, too!
Why do people always compare BMS, Guard Duty, OBM and OP2?
They are all equally awesome.
Agreed, there's no need to compare them.
OBM is better than OF2.. lol. And BM is different than OPBM. OPBM have more weapons and more difficulty for mapping.
The best remake is OPBM, the harder remake !
Haha you can't compare OF2 with OBM just because Sheppard is staring both mods.
And whatever you or anyone say, I still think BMS is better. Not because of being a fanboy or anything like that, their stuff just amuze me more than any other mod. Anyway this is hella awesome in every aspect.
The only thing that slightly saddens me about all four of the main remakes is that they update every three months or so. It's okay, they're not our slaves or anything, but it would be much better if they updated more often. Anyways, BMS hasn't updated in a very long time. I'm pretty sure 7 months. Op42 isn't really a remake, but an expansion. Guard Duty seems very slow in development. They're all 400% awesome. OBM, though, is my favourite, in quality, and in frequency of updates.
Oh, and something else: I do know they have a life, and are free to drop this mod whenever they want. But hopefully they won't.

But believeme, this Mod is an entity that have life by itself independently of the people who work on it.
Yeah. I pretty much spend most of the day coding. In a few days, school starts though. So that'll be a problem.
Oh, and pretty much all the people who practically live on moddb know they're separate entities.
Same here though this is shaping up pretty nice and at least they all have a similar aesthetic wich gives a group feel, but yeah BMS this then guard duty
