Operation: Black Mesa is a total Source remake of Half Life: Opposing Force. Using the Source engine, the developers plan to recreate the Black Mesa research Facility as it was seen by Corporal Adrian Shephard of the H.E.C.U. Half-life: Opposing Force is still an amazing game, although it is not nearly as amazing as it was when it was released.

Nice drawing does that device is to contract your squad or for extraction ?
It's a model, not a drawing
actually mistaking a model for a drawing is quite a compliment (it wouldnt be if it was the other way :P).
He meant the texture... not that this is drawn by hand. You need to be retarded to think that's a drawing ( straight lines from modeling as well as texture stretching on the device itself )
Honestly, I think you would have to be an idiot to think this is a drawing. The model is very good, plus it says it is a model at the bottom of the picture.
Heh, he has a Pipboy!
lol
I'm apparently not the only one who thought that. :)
I thought OPSAT
This looks comfortable to say the least, the pipboy is a massive hunk of **** that must weigh at least 30 pounds!
And that would be uncomfortable if it was a pipboy, which it isn't. This concept was worked out way before Fallout 3 was released, it is in no way related.
The wrist computer consits of components that makes it durable in all kinds of combat enviroments (HECU = Hazardous Enviroment Combat Unit) without decreasing the maneouverability of the marine or adding extra strain.
Implying that Fallout 3 was the first game to have a Pip-Boy.
A very nice model and texture I might say.
BUT...
Wouldn't it be more sensible to place it the other way, palm-side? For a science unit yeah this way would work, but for a combat unit who usually goes around with a gun in his/her hand, having to let go of the gun and turn your hand to see the info seems a bit too clunky. I'd say turn the whole PDA to face the soldier when s/he is carrying a gun, I.E. Palm-side.
Also, this would present the dev team a whole new way of showing the HUD. As this thing is constantly in the main hand, It would be in the player's FoV, having all the ammo, health and armor shown in the PDA.

Nice!!!
Tell me guys, how did you ever come up with this idea?? It's so Unique and original (I am not sure about originality...)
Since you are gonna include that in the game, could you make HUD be obsolete then (make crosshair be optional, please), like no HUD allowed stuff and other? So people can rely on that thing only if they want to see how much health, ammo and other things, such as seeing mission objectives, to you can read informations, read infos about a lot NPCs (Non-player characters) in game, and much other (like ordering an air-strike in some specific areas in the game)!!! (make it an optional or if that is impossible, go with this concept then, it's so... unique.
Please do make it like this, so that there could be difference that when players play OBM to not think they feel majority or whatever like they are controlling "Gordon Freeman with different skin and model and animations (when holding and firing new weapons in original OPP4 that were not present in first original Half Life game), etc etc...".
Sorry for such random comment, but this stuff is such major coolness and awesomeness!!!!
Also, criticize my ideas if they seem stupid, dull or plain wrong or if I missed something... Always need to know my mistakes. >_>
These type of things are in quite a few old games and some do exist in real life. So, this isn't original, but it is to Opposing Force.
Lol Opposing Fallout, at age 10 Adrian Shepard gets his first pip-boy
Lol, Adrian is the lone wanderer!
intriguing...
pip-boy
looks like a fallout 3 pip-boy 3000 :D
