Operation: Black Mesa is a total Source remake of Half Life: Opposing Force. Using the Source engine, the developers plan to recreate the Black Mesa research Facility as it was seen by Corporal Adrian Shephard of the H.E.C.U. Half-life: Opposing Force is still an amazing game, although it is not nearly as amazing as it was when it was released.

So, the black ops will be using a Little Bird to transport troops rather than a recolored black osprey?

well little birds are more like a light transport / gunship. Id say they would likely also use more heavily armored and armed helos as well. Like the Black hawk or RAH-66 Comanche for examples.

FYI I only included the RAH-66 seeing as it a private companies venture and the back ops could in theory buy them privately as a military contractor provided that they have the cash for them.

Also try not to throw in too much standard military issue US equipment for them as the back ops after all are an independent group not affiliated with any one nation in particular. no flags, logos, or markings of any kind ... ive seen a few hl1 & 2 mods that have done that before :/

But aside from all that its a wonderful work of art regardless. Almost makes me want to mod the final version of this mod and make it cell shaded to mimic this concept art too xD

Actually, only two Comanches were ever built, and one of them got scrapt for spare parts.

While I like the new helicopter addition (although I would have preferred Black Hawks) the troops at Black Mesa are indeed the U.S. Military: Half-life.wikia.com

Additionally Black Mesa was a government funded corporation conducting experiments for the military. This can be seen in real life as well with corporations such as Raytheon getting government security and military base access for weapons testing. This image: Images3.wikia.nocookie.net

As well as this image: Images4.wikia.nocookie.net

Both depict the competition between Black Mesa and Aperture Science for government funding (Images taken form the Portal games which are in the same universe). I hope this clears up the confusion. I wish you a good day sir.
