Old Republic mod for Forces of Corruption. Exactly as it says on the tin.
I decided this would be an anti corvette ship. It has 4 light laser cannons (which are ALWAYS anti fighter/bomber) so it can defend itself vs fighters pretty well too. 8 Heavy laser cannons (which again is anti ship), and 4 (dual) light turbolasers. Dual lasers do twice the damage but also fire twice as slow. The large laser shots come from the station it's attacking, not the interdictors.
Good vs things like Forays, Praetorians, and everything smaller than those. Can take out a Hammerhead too, but that's because of the heavy shields and a lot of hardpoints rather than firepower, because the hammerhead is a frigate (more armor). Anti corvette ships can ofc attack frigates aswell, and sometimes win (in this case ofc the Interdictor will always win in a 1 on 1 with a hammerhead) but you'd be wise to build them in pairs of 3, 3 is the magical number in Empire at war.

Btw, it also has 2 concussion missle launchers, which mixed with all the other weapons make it a great all-round ship. Just be sure to build enough of the light anti corvette ships too, the Sith Frigate (the Interdictor is the heavy variant) As the Sith Frigate has ion cannons which do massive damage to shields. All ships have a whole lot of shield points so normal turbolasers will work, but it'll take a while. Definitly mix in ships with ion cannons. A combination of these 2 can be very deadly.
Reason I didn't give the Interdictor ion cannons: That would cause you all to shop building the lower-tier (the light variants) ships :D this way every ship has a role and purpose, and small ships can still be usefull now. I just don't want you to disregard smaller ships when you reach a higher tech level. NO CAPITAL SPAMMING FOR YOU MATE! You'd get ripped up by smaller anti capital ships anyways, like the republic Defender corvette. Still have to think of a sith variant for that.
honastly G have you thought about getting your own engine and the rights from lucas arts to make this into a proper game? the mod alone looks awesome but with you own engine this could be 10X more epic which would break the epic scale :D
I wish you guys would make the hammerheads capital ships like they were in kotor.
We can't make a 350M ship being the strongest capital, that's impossible. They're strong for their size already and a great warship for the tech level on which they're available.
u have a point,these things are beasts compared to a regular ISD Class 1.
errrr, but thats how it was, and i feel bad when completely avoiding all the oversized ships... atleast make it a light destroyer type Cap :/... not as the strongest, but... yet moderate compaired to all the others :)
well, in kotor the rpublic are in a serious monetary crisis, so what they could built is a bunch of medium size ships, if they had more money, why not built some much bigger ships
it isnt that simple for a couple of reasons
1.The Jedi Civil War of Kotor brought the Old Republic (OR) to a point of weakness in funds. picture it as WWII,the pacific theatre.the U.S.A. kept putting all available funds on military units,but it had to be small ops until Midway. same thing here
2.Destruction of ships also lowered funds for the OR. so many of 'em were blown to total shreds by the Interdictors that they were thousnads of credits away from a large cruiser
3.The biggest the ORs got is the Paladin.
it isnt simple to get credits,they dont grow of Nar Shadaaa ya know
