they are looking really cool but WHY... WHY do you have to make so big of them... think about a battle with 20 ships shooting each other, its a mess and then the cool look goes to waste

DON"T think this is a normal thing, only heavy siege ships (the equivelant of a Marauder and Broadside cruiser) will get these to bombard static defenses and fighters. The shots will act as Diamant Borron missles did in the original Empire at war.

I see what you are saying. Think about this, though: obviously, you would not see something that big come out the barrel of a gun, or end of anything on a capital ship for that matter. Even if the ship is big, the gun itself would have to be seen on the ship, even if you are zoomed out all the way, if it was big enough to fire a round/burst/blast that big. The real problem is, though, that all projectiles are considerably oversized in this game (not only your mod, but all mods for this game, practically). Think how small the lasers and such are actually supposed to be compared to the ships. I'm fairly certain that the ship in this picture cannot fire a blast that appears to be one-fourth its own size...

Well if you look at star wars movies and just other 'lasers' and 'blasters' in general, their 'beams' tend to omit a sort of aura that goes beyond the actual 'beam' itself. So really they would look larger than the diameter of the gun. However you make a good point that they are all over sized in this game, mostly because we want to SEE these things. The game is only that, a game, and games are usually for entertainment. It wouldn't be very entertaining to see some big turbo-laser battle be just tiny little red lines, people like big burning beams through space with over-sized explosions lol. Anyway, I think they're too big for the game, but the normal ones are not to big. Just my 2 cents.

The ship will be bigger, I just put it in for testing the new projectiles. And what says a ship is not currently being modeled that has those huge guns? Maybe we have some things we aren't showing?

Ha! Well, just going off of my prior knowledge is all. Anyway, I realize that games are for entertainment, but what LucasArts failed at was big explosions. They made all of the projectiles big and noticeable, but then the explosions were so disappointing.

"Wow, look at the turbolasers on this Star Destroyer! Oh, they blow up the same as any other weapon in the game... That's, um, cool?"

You know what I mean? Anyway, I don't mind the big projectiles. To a point, of course!

The Unstable Electric-Plasma Burst, it looks far far far better ingame since it has electric currents running through the whole thing at all times, soooo cool, my favorite. Pick this if you want to experience what a electric plasma burst can offer.
