after i installed this mod with the english installer, i get an error that says
"The procedure entry point ?r_string@IReader@@QAEXAAV?$basic_string @DU?$char_traits@D@std@@v?$xalloc@d@@@std@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library xrCore.dll"
im using the steam version, is there any way to fix this?

Are you tried to repatch your game version to the version 1.0005 as described there: Moddb.com ? If not, try clean install the game, then repatch, and only after that install mod. If you already tried this with no results, then please pack your game's BIN folder in archive, for example by 7-zip, upload somewhere and give me the link - I'll need to take a look on game's binaries. I'm suspecting Steam versions are different from region to region, and you have some specific non-US binaries. In what region you have bought the game?

im in the US so i shouldnt have non-US binaries, also in that guide you linked, i dont have anything called "GSC Game World" in my regedit

You're on Windows 7 x64, search "GSC Game World" inside the Wow6432Node.

i found it but in STALKER-SHOC there was only OGSEVer, i tried uninstalling OGSE and its still the only thing in there, there is no InstallVers

Looks like steam version are storing this somewhere else. Use search function in regedit (CTRL+F) and try to find other locations there may be folder "GSC Game World". If not found (this is possible), then we might need to create a parameter "InstallVers" in Wow6432Node\GSC Game World manually.

i launched the game in steam and that seemed to be what i needed to do, theres an installvers for stalker-shoc now, however the installvers is already set to 1.0005 and not 1.0006. i did what was listed in the guide to roll back to 1.0005 anyway, but even after patching to 1.0005 the problem persists

Im getting this same error message! This is with the Steam version of Stalker. Before installing the mod I uninstalled the game, cleared out the folder of any old mods I saw, then re-installed the game. I ran it once, the installed the 0.6.9.2 english version of the mod. I chose the standard installation. When I try and launch the game from the mod's icon I get the error he mentioned. If I launch from Steam, nothing happens at all. My registry says the game is running 1.0005. Apparently that's what Steam considers the latest build. Any idea how we can fix this one? Thanks!

I have Directx 9, C++ 2005, and my .net is 4.5 the older version you list on the main page wont run on my win 7 machine.

You're wrong. Under Win7 you can run any version of .NET. They all coexist in peace. Install version 3.51.

Hi, I have this same issue, can't launch the game with the same error message.. I have steam version of the game which was already 1.0005 according to registry, so I didn't need to downgrade. Any solution please?

I posted a comment back then regarding it but this seemed to work for me

I managed to fix it somehow by deleting the XR_3DA.exe and xrCore.dll and verifying the games cache on steam although I don't really know if the game is broken or not since I haven't ran into any problems so far.

Thanks, I also tried that before and was able to get into the game but I think the OGSE changes/replaces these bin libraries for a good reason so it might not be the ideal solution. We will either run into some serious bugs or the mod will be missing a lot of cool features
