I have a question concerning the various %-values (like Burn, Chemical, Rupture) you get from armor, items and artifacts.

What exactly do these values mean? Are they just simple modifiers? Like when you have Bullet = 50% then every bullet damage you receive is reduced by 50%?

Another question is: Is there a max. value that can be achieved for each stat? Does it make ANY sense to raise a stat above 100%?

I have no idea how this worked in the vanilla game and if/how things were changed in OGSE.

Real resistance you can get only from artifacts/transmutes. The only real thing in armour parameters is psi-protection. The rest is the modifiers as in the vanilla game, but they are different from vanilla one.

Total resistance/protection by artifacts/transmutes can not be more then 80%. Even 150% of total bullet resistance won't protect you from gauss shoot.

Thank you!

So, all the values from armor like radiation, rupture or chemical do nothing and the only exception is telepathy? Or is telepathy and psi not the same thing?

No, it's modifiers, so they give you a certain portion of protection, varying across different parameters. The most tricky parameter is the bullet resistance, the rest is more or less close to the values. Otherwise you and NPCs will become unkillable :D

Okay, thank you. As I understand, the calculation of actual damage taken and the various modifiers is not as simple as it may seem from the numbers in the inventory.

In the end, with wearing the SKAT+KNIGHT suit and various Klondike-artifacts and some transmutes, the Marked One is a walking tank. Only Gauss rifles and explosions can kill him quickly. Heavy radiation seems to be unblockable and can kill him too, only slower. Some mutants can pose a thread when you can't snipe them or quickly dispatch them with a rifle grenade. Especially Pseudogiant, Kamikaze Zombies and Chimeras.

SimplyYuri can you post an example calculation for bullet resistance? Also I heard Stalker uses things like damage and impact values and how do these work with armor?

I would like to know more details about the actual calculation than what is already written here.

Sorry, but it's too complex topic. Read the articles at gameru.net, using translators.

Thank you anyway, that looks like it will work for me.
