ya know the rhino and the land raider are a bit too big to be lore specific

that twin-linked heavy bolter is supost to be as big as the hand held heavy bolter used by a devastator as the 2 weapons use the same ammo and hit about as hard with the exception of the twin-link rule and the rhino is only supost to be 3/4 that of the height, length, and with of the LR

The base model simply followed stated dimensions/drawings.

But I intend to reduce the size of the heavy bolter turret in any case.To make it consistent with other heavy bolter type weapons that I've already created.

Bear in mind the models and textures shown here are in a state of flux. They aren't always representative of the finished product. :)

Both vehicles are indeed bigger than the stated dimensions. But those dimensions simply can't work. And it would become clear why, as soon as you looked into them while fully loaded.

If you go with lore,as in novels and fluff appearing in IA books, then the size is in keeping with that. They still hold the specified number of marines.Just in a believable way. :)

hmmmm...... but if you triying to imploment 40k into somthing you mut go with what is there and you cannot change that otherwise this would not be 40k but jest some nock off that is not being true to the 40k universe and the god empra and also to mind you that you are dealing with things that are 41000 years in the future, thay may not make sence to us on how thay work but thay work

Ok.I'm not going to get into a heated debate about this.
It's really not that much of an issue for me personally.
As far as I'm concerned it's in keeping with the 40k universe. In much the same way that conversions are considered valid in the table top game.

I prefer something that looks relatively accurate.
The Rhino and it's stated dimensions describe a
futuristic clown car.

My particular slant on dimensions may not be to everyone's
tastes. But I won't be deviating too much from my current direction.

I do appreciate the comments though.Thanks. :)

Will you add a pintle mounted storm bolter for the land raider? A commander could use it when opening his hatch.

And I like the scale of the models, what always bugged me about w40k is how the vehicles just looked too small in comparison to the infantry.

Hello Kaktus.

Unfortunately pintle mounted hardware would be nothing more than
eye candy.CWA/OFP doesn't support multiple turrets.

But it will make an appearance in the A2 version. And if someone
wanted to port that to A3 it will appear there too. :)

After years of working with OFP/CWA I'm used to seeing things
close to their real-life scale.Relative to a human character.
So I wanted to apply the same method to the marines. If ten
marines are supposed to fit into a rhino, with gear, then they should.
As long as it looks like the vehicle it's supposed to be,
then I'm happy.

The scale difference is fine in the tabletop or rts situation.
It proportions work because of the scale. But I don't think that
transfers well into a military style game/simulator.

Oh how time passes, I've totally forgot all the limitations of the OFP engine. Now I remember it was also impossible to run crouched. Have to play OFP right now :)
