OffWorld: fall of Mars

Battlefield 2 mod | Released Sep 1, 2008

Mars based Battlefield 2 full conversion MOD Planned Short 6-8 month development cycle. Objective: Create a fun, fast paced but challenging Flight based FPS which will allow players to particiapte in large terrain battles with fast small ships requiring team work and communication. Game modes: Team King of the hill primarily for the first several builds. Details: 3 factions and 9 ships total are in development with each faction also having a compliment of statics. Maps:Large 4sq km maps based on real sattelite imagery from Mars. Terrain will allow large scale ship based engagements.

This Friday the team will be releasing a Beta release candidate build.
While this build is still rough around the edges. We have gotten to the point where play testing with a larger group is possible.

As such we will be doing a invitation only online test session this Friday/Saturday..

If you are interested in being included, Please respond to this News with your name and an email address. Then you will be added to the list. On friday a download link will then be sent to all members on the guest list.

The guest list will be enforced. It will be posted on the Dev forums so any of the Devs can check it.

Conditions:

Those not on the list will be kicked from the server. The server will be running for approximately 48 hours. after the test. Players are welcome to test the game on their own in a local server but no online servers will be allowed.

The objective of the test server is to test game play. As such you may be asked to do something in order to test game play. Those who decide to do otherwise will be kicked from the server. I don't think it really needs to be said but just in case.

All feedback should be directed to the public forums after testing. When posting testing feedback. Try to be as specific as possible.
