Off Limits: Off Limits will be a teambased multiplayer Half-Life² modification. The gameplay will revolve around two teams attempting to take out a small, agressive, playercontrolled alien. The vanguard team will start the round with the only gun that can harm the alien, the rogues team will see the alien's position on their radar. The team that kills the alien, wins the round. Story: It started out with a few sightings in unpopulated regions. The tabloids were the first to catch on and spoke of a new species, ridiculed by the scientific world. But as quick snapshots turned into irrefutable evidence, sightings increased, and some were even spotted in our largest cities, both science and the military got involved. Mankind's fear of the unknown soon led to conflicts. That’s when we found out: they were invulnerable. They were few, and they were unintelligent. But no weapons known to man at that time could harm them. They only attacked when in danger and were uncoordinated, but...

After being accepted a few months back to playtest Off Limits I had the opportunity to help out the team and I was accepted as the PR manager. As a playtester I can tell you that Off Limits is becoming a wonderful mod, both the gameplay and visuals are unique on Source. What impresses me most are the gigantic but detailed maps, and the vehicles you can drive in this mod are lots of fun!
The mod is hitting it's final stages, and bugs are being squished daily. I enjoyed every single playtest we did so far and I’m sure you will enjoy Off Limits once it’s released.
Exactly four years ago Simon and Keats were two of those ambitious people who started a modification for Valve’s Half-Life² Source Engine. A nice amount of HL2 mods have been released and unfortunately a lot of them died but Off Limits is still going strong! As you probably noticed the Off Limits team hasn’t posted a lot of updates lately but to celebrate the 4 years existence of the project we are happy to share some new media with you.

I think you mean the Red Devil? We choice this handgun very early in development, could very will be the 1st weapon we made. And we loved it ever since. We know it's a BB gun in real life, but we didn't care :)
It's still the handgun I pick when I'm a Rogue ;)
interesting, looks good.
Looking forward to this one ;)
OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE FIRST MOD TO FEATURE AN IPSC-PISTOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOURE MY HEROS!!!!!
xD
very nice work! And Happy 4th :) Keep up the great work. Its good to see some more hl2 mods that are still alive and kicking!
Looking fantastic! I love the last shot. Keep up the great work!
I just want to say, Wesley "Simon" Tack is a visual genius, one of the few true artists in the mod scene, and has managed to pull off some awesome stuff with a great team behind him.
Can't wait to play this thing!
Didn't even know this mod existed. Very nice work, everything looks very polished and professional. As Capital said too, the visuals are fantastic, very coherent and well designed.
First time I've heard of this mod also, looks great though! Good luck with it!
four years - fucking hell. That timespan either kills a mod or makes it real big and great. The fact that you have not released anything (playable) yet, makes me think you want to release a rather polished, bug-free beta. That's great to see and I'm sure it will be great to experience. Also, I love you for getting vehicles in this mod. This way its not onyl the gameplay, which is unique, its also the vehicles, because very few mods for HL2 actually have anything drivable (let alone flyable) in them.
Happy fourth anniversary! And keep the good stuff flowing on Moddb! I'm exited now, so give us updates whenever you feel like it. It will be much appreciated and keep your mod on the list of many watchers.
