Obsidian Conflict is a cooperative multiplayer modification set in the Half-Life 2 universe.
It features a large amount of new gameplay features on all-new maps specially designed for the mod with focus on cooperative gameplay, as well as over hundred user-made maps following the same formula.

In addition to that, You're able to play through vanilla Half-Life 2 all the way up to Episode 2, as well as experimental support for cooperative Half-Life: Source play.

Key features:

- All Source engine Half-Life series games playable in co-op online (Half-Life: Source, Half-Life 2, Lost Coast, Episodes 1 & 2)
- A large set of included custom maps, some in the form of classic combat & teamwork puzzles and others offering extraordinary new gameplay experiences such as cooperative farming and fishing
- New weapons, including dual Uzis, Medkit, Sniper Rifle, the Alyxgun, the Tau Cannon, deployable Manhacks, as well as support for scripted weapons allowing use of weapons from Counterstrike and Day of Defeat Source
- New NPCs, including many from the original half-life such as a fully-functional ichthyosaur, as well as a working mortarsynth from HL2
- Special merchant NPC and related entities, offering gameplay where players can spend points from their score to purchase weapons and map-specific objects
- Many co-op related features, such as a server-side lives system, hud waypoints, player locator, attention & medic calls, and map objectives, as well as players' inventory carrying over between level transitions
- Great support for community mappers, including features like the mapadd system to easily edit existing maps without having to recompile them, as well as tutorials and prefab examples for all of OC's new entities and features
- Support for custom playermodels and custom colorizations on weapons and hud elements

We've been quiet for too long again, heck, we almost could have reused the news post from last Christmas by now.

So, to break the silence, we present you the first one of our "Dev Blog" Videos. Those should allow us to give you guys a more constant stream of news posts, since we can show a lot more WIP and experimental stuff that way without focusing too much on full-fledged, pretty looking news.

Remember most of the stuff shown is more or less work in progress and thus subject to change, but feel free to tell us what you think still!

can you team make new enemies and guns... enemy: big momma (and baby crabs),assasin,x-race monsters,grunt soldiers from hl1... weapon: ak47(get it from css if can :P),double magnums (347?)... and knifes what can throw :P... if you can made it... big thanks... it will be enjoyable. ohh and can you add list of all monsters... example. npc_create NPC_ZOMBINE i need them too. >>thanks<<

i see where your coming from with that, candle. and while i mostly agree with what you say, i can also understand why the community asks for new xenian models. im thinking that these models just MIGHT be placeholders until they get around to making them.

i never played this mod, im downloading the 1.22 right now.

You cant bring back NPC's like X race ( Voltigore, Shock Tropper etc..) to a HL2 mod

unless your a crazy coder that has too much time in their hands!

I heard theres the Zombine! cool, but i dont have Episode One installed, well i have but its like 80% complete, and i dont own the game, well my account says i dont (i allready talked to Steam Support, and theire working on it)

anyway seems like a cool mod, everyone says good things about it, and it's coop!

Kids remmeber, Sven Coop ROCKS

some of these mods i have seen have taken them four years! and what do they have? a few half life modles running around killing eachother and a whole bunch of code that they have to re-write for themselves that is almost exactily the same as other mods, because other mods like dystopia etc. are to stingy to help them out . There is a mod already released that is practicaly the exact same thing, its called half-life deathmatch.

Nice option, almost perfect co-op mod and with a lot more options than Synergy. You should try it. :D
