Obscurity Verson 1.2
Feb 7, 2013 Full Version 24 commentsHey, here's a new update with various minor bug fixes. Enjoy!
NOTE: Obscurity requires the Justine Expansion Pack!
Story:
Upon returning to the village you grew up in as a child, you discover that it's empty. Doors are boarded up, bloodstains soak the ground, and a strange aura lingers in the air. What happened and why has everyone disappeared? Crescent Village holds a secret, and it's up to you to uncover it.
Features:
- Chilling atmosphere
- Frightening horror
- Complex and deep storyline
- Richly detailed environments and lighting
- Quality Voice Acting
- Custom Monsters
Info:
Obscurity is a project I've been working on relentlessly for about a year now, and I'm proud to finally release it! As you can probably tell, this is a serious custom story. You will not find pointless jumpscares, all of the horror will make sense and deliver a quality horror experience. To add to this, none of the monsters in Obscurity are from the original Amnesia or Justine, all of them are custom. You won't see these monsters in any screenshots, as I intend to keep their identities a surprise. (Please note that I didn't make these monsters, but they are from various resources that are credited at the end of the game.)
Anyways, feel free to make playthroughs/walkthroughs of Obscurity, just make sure to put a link to this page in the description of your video.
Enjoy!

UPDATE: I'm planning on releasing an update soon. Please PM me any bugs/glitches you may have found throughout the game. In addition, I would really like to know if the proper music was playing for you guys in the ending sequence. In some playthroughs I've watched, the monster theme keeps playing until the credits. This is NOT supposed to happen, so PLEASE let me know what was playing during the epilogue for you. This would really help me. Thanks!

Unfortunately I've had to delay Obscurity by a few weeks. I've been extremely busy lately and haven't had the time to wrap things up. Of course, this means I also have the additional time to go back and make sure things are consistent in quality. The new release date is December 30th 2012. Thanks for your support!

Hey author(s)!
I played it and loved it! But I have 2 things I would like to tell you about.
The village music is nice, but suddenly stops playing after awhile. It's not looping.
And secondly, when I came out from the prison and mourge area, I could enter it again by the door. But ofcourse, the cave in is still there and the door was locked behind me. I was trapped ^^
Regards
1. That's odd... For some reason Obscurity has so many music problems that don't happen to me.
2. I fixed the crypt glitch in v1.1
Thanks!
1: Yeah, I find it odd as well. It usually works fine and loops like it should in most stories I have played
2: Ah! I played on the old version hehe ;)
Hey!
Played it and liked it, only a shame when I enter the Inn, on the upper floor, last chamber. I got somehow strangely teleported behind the closet. Maybe a glitch?
But Love your work!
gratz
i gave a 10/10! you can see my review on reviews >.> this is a really good custom story! EVERYONE MUST PLAY IT!!!

Hey guys! I'm a new gamer and after looking at and playing a bunch of mods, I really started to question how to make one. If you guys could give me any tips on where to get started, where to look, how to code, anything would be really helpful! This is mainly for an Amnesia mod but any tips would be appreciated.
*Note. I have absolutely no idea about engineering, coding, anything AT ALL! So if this is something that you have to be well versed in when it comes to things like that then please let me know and I might have to reconsider my wants...
Thanks!
Yeah... coding would be a must, unless you just want to work as texture modder for people, then you need photoshop or other programs and be "well versed" in areas of minor programming even then.
Hey, so some of you may have run into the glitch where the wrong music plays during the epilogue sequence. I recorded a video of the ending with the proper music in case you missed it.
THIS IS A SPOILER FOR THE ENDING OF OBSCURITY!!!
