Nuclear Dawn is a modification for Valve’s Source engine that combines visceral and violent First Person Shooter action with fast-paced Real Time Strategy in the aftermath of an apocalyptic war. You can choose the mission or lead the attack as a commander, marshalling resources and deploying weapons and equipment for your team to use.

You can storm a building as an assault trooper, cling to the shadows and rely on your active camouflage as a stealth, or unleash terrible firepower from a powered suit of exo-armor. You have the responsibility and the power to decide the outcome of every engagement. If your opponents are lucky there will be enough of them left to bury.

Although we have been around for a long time, this mod is still in active development, and the development team is breaking its collective back on getting this mod to you as soon as possible. Stay tuned !

Introducing the Consortium Stealth Trooper. A marvel of modern day technology, the stealth suit uses advanced nanotech and ultra-sophisticated optics to ghost its wearer against his surroundings, the result a shimmering mirage of muted murder hell-bent on gutting a pesky pointman or two. The trade-off is that the suit doesn't offer much protection from even your average weaponry, and so the stealth usually spends his time crawling down corridors riddled with bullet fire and explosions, where one foot out of place will confirm his own swift demise in red scarlet cinematics.

But this professional is calm and collected, slicing a path through the opposition and venturing deep behind enemy lines to unleash maximum chaos by laying traps at his foe's own front doorstep. With a low calibre pistol packed in the rare event of a muffled cry for help reaching his next target before his blade does, this deadly assassin usually performs his duties undetected, weilding his high-tensile steel blades with surgical precision. When you cross paths with a stealth trooper you don't dice with death, death quite literally dices with you ...and then some!

Our lead coder and project lead just got a job at Digital Illusions CE (a.k.a. DICE - they make games) in Sweden so things have been a bit slow while he's been moving to a new country.

be patient, they need time before release.

I should probably add that, despite a bit if a lacklustre release, INS are actually making great strides towards a massive improvement to their mod.

We are about to open the mod up for the equivalent of an internal beta. After we add in some final features and playtest the balance, UI and our new maps in production, we will be in a position to release.
