Nuclear Dawn is a modification for Valve’s Source engine that combines visceral and violent First Person Shooter action with fast-paced Real Time Strategy in the aftermath of an apocalyptic war. You can choose the mission or lead the attack as a commander, marshalling resources and deploying weapons and equipment for your team to use.
You can storm a building as an assault trooper, cling to the shadows and rely on your active camouflage as a stealth, or unleash terrible firepower from a powered suit of exo-armor. You have the responsibility and the power to decide the outcome of every engagement. If your opponents are lucky there will be enough of them left to bury.
Although we have been around for a long time, this mod is still in active development, and the development team is breaking its collective back on getting this mod to you as soon as possible. Stay tuned !

Project Lead, Spk, has recently moved to Digital Illusions CE (a.k.a. DICE - they make Battlefield) and has been busy settling in there and moving to a new country. However, he's had a few weeks to get accustomed to the meatballs and the Swedish ladies, so I'm sure he'll be back to business on ND within no time. Below left is SJ's latest piece, the Hydra grenade launcher; and, right, the Commander-placed turret.
For the rest of the news, details on the new turret design features and info on our search for new animators, be sure to read up on the main site (link below).

fails?
I've actually been looking forward to this mod. I hope one day we can all see it up on it's feet again with regular updates here and there.
Website down?
The team's looking into the website issues. For some reason this hasn't affected the private dev forums, so it has not affected dev team communication.
Good to hear none of the project has been haulted due to the problem.
Okay awesome. Glad to see this isn't hampering progress.
Update on the website issues:
It seems this is a vBulletin (forums) error, which has affected the main site as well because the forums are linked in heavily to those pages.
The team is in the process of finding a solution (might involve contacting the original lead for the vB license details and rebooting the forums from the last backup - 22nd April). Expect the forums to be buggy and the website out for however long it takes us to fix the problem.
Also, in the vague hope that whoever it is PMing me on the public forums reads this, I cannot access my PMs until this is fixed.
I sorry to tell everyone but after looking round the web about this mod i found out that most of the content is fake and not actual gameplay. hopefully they are actually getting down to some work and not lying
In fact forget what i said, someone gave me anough evidence to become a believer again :D
