Nuclear Dawn is a modification for Valve’s Source engine that combines visceral and violent First Person Shooter action with fast-paced Real Time Strategy in the aftermath of an apocalyptic war. You can choose the mission or lead the attack as a commander, marshalling resources and deploying weapons and equipment for your team to use.
You can storm a building as an assault trooper, cling to the shadows and rely on your active camouflage as a stealth, or unleash terrible firepower from a powered suit of exo-armor. You have the responsibility and the power to decide the outcome of every engagement. If your opponents are lucky there will be enough of them left to bury.
Although we have been around for a long time, this mod is still in active development, and the development team is breaking its collective back on getting this mod to you as soon as possible. Stay tuned !

The reception of Nuclear Dawn went down extremely well, with 15,000 unique visitors and 500 beta signups in the *first hour* alone. The forum community is alive and kicking with a ton of activity from some pretty crazy people, so make sure you check them out.
This weekend we finished another alpha playtest that we'd had to put off due to the madness brought about by the site launch! During this alpha we had a few industry level designers partake, hopeful in the aim that we'd interest them into building a level within our alpha>beta development process. If any of you are curious on the gameplay factor of Nuclear Dawn, well everyone who took part in the alpha left with a big grin on their face.
I guess we're obligated to provide you all with some screenshots from the session, Well, here are some that I took, or rather the few ones I managed to take while not taking some severe punishment courtesy of the rest of the dev team. I’m beginning to think my fellow team members are holding a grudge against me.
It’s probably worth mentioning that the level seen here is something RobertB threw together in less than a week. Its sole purpose is to test another new map layout for a new game mode we've implemented to test the core features of the FPS gameplay.
We're still looking for an animator and another coder to join the ranks of the team to hasten the arrival of the projects beta stages so if you're interested email contact(at)nuclear-dawn.net

Hey, dose this mod use teamspeak or vent?
i would die for a sp version of this! with your custom voice-overs and stuff.
...should check out the main site and forums
There you'll be the first to see exclusive media released only to our forum goers and find out how you can put yourself forward to play in our closed beta test. At Nuclear Dawn we know that a mod is nothing without a community to play it and give us feedback on how to make it better. And we believe this shouldn't go unrewarded, so for an opportunity to play the game before it's released to the general public and more, visit:

SHIIIIIT.AWESOME.No use to start waiting for this yet :( This will take a while before it's done
"cept the guys in the white suits, they look like the faggot spartan wannabes in incoming source."
those look nothing like spartans... id say they are a mix of stormtroopers from star wars and helghast from killzone.
you guys need to pubicize more, cuz not many ppl know this mod exists when it i one of the few decent mods out there. also about my post earlier, give an eta and percentage compelete. i am trying to keep track of the progress of various mods esp source mods.
BTW nice work. even the concept drawings are very impressive. do an update devoted to individual weapons with render displays and such, and try to inform ppl as much as possible.
plz give an eta and percentage of completion
Ya i double that, I didn't know about this mod til recently. Looks awesome.
Well I dont think the progress complete shown on this site is accurate. From the things I have seen I would say at least 40-50% at least. They may be higher or lower. I am not sure. I am not a member of there team so :P
They have been buisy with other things thats most likly why this site has not been updated with "Percent Complete" to match what has been done compared to what needs to be done for release of the mod.
Either way this mod has a lot of eyes watching it. Including some Game Companys.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
all i can say is that i have no idea why there arent more ppl watching this mod... yall should get an update on the main page
