Excellent work as always :P
I'm in - looks fantastic sir !
298 FPS? Oo
Yes...I am trying to make this run as buttery smooth as possibke :)
Lovely and smooth.
dude your doing a great job looking forward to it.
y do i see litle sqwers on the tiles?
because it's just the way the texture is made. and or the lights.
Ah thats because I didnt buid the cubemaps for the screens and thats a reflective surface. They wont be there when its done :)
ah cubemaps yes they make a big part in the reflection surfaces.
whuh ? I thought that was so the workers could play checkers on the floor if they got bored :D
It loox nice Kevin, I see somethin sparking in there!
As for those FPS, isnt that also dependent on hardware ?! Its def good to have smooth play, but honestly one of my pet peeves is load times!! Man, I've hated being in the middle of gaming and then "LOADING", it seems like 10 seconds has passed, in terms of gaming, thats an eternity!
Yeah its dependant on the hardware, but also on what that hardware is running. We have a single core machine that used an 8600 gts and were able to get outstanding fps on Source games on that rig, so Im guessing that even the older hardware wont struggle with this Mod. There are a couple of cpu intensive areas involving the puzzles, but I am keeping close track of just how far to push things. I have a E8500 which is a solid dual core, but we will also test on a 3.2 single core and a 2.0 laptop core 2 duo. Those 3 configurations should be a good range of hardware to test on....but all 3 are asus/intel/nvidia machines. I have no amd/ati configs to test on :(
O, well I kind of figured your stuff would be quad etc..
Mine is AMD 2.6 DC, 9600gt, it works ok for games like GTA IV, most other ppl's pc's are way better than this one tho.. Its already like 4+ yrs old..
I used to have some older pc's sitting around, 100-166Mhz cpu, 64MB SIMM, 8MB video, that might display a 1x1 corner of today's desktop lol
I also had an 8x ati, single core, gave to my Bro's gf.
I have another pc that has I think 1Ghz cpu, proly AMD, 500+ram, uses Hauppage (sp) capture card for vid.
Apparently that E8500 outperformed many of the quads in its day...though Im guessing the i-7s and all would trash it in comparasin now. I have yet to find a game it cant handle. As a matter of fact, it still has not dropped in price from when I bought it around 3 years ago...a testament to its capability and value.
