[OUTDATED] Ken's 1.7 file - Normandy 1944: European Theater mod for Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Normandy '44: European Theater combines a higher level of realism with a more elaborate doctrine system, which incorporates almost 50 different military units that took part in the period of Jun-Sept 1944. This spectrum ranges from divisions of free Polish and French units serving under the main allied armies to volunteers from the Eastern Front that served in the German Wehrmacht. This is only a small portion of the doctrine variety however, as we feature numerous well known units of all factions as well. The mod also features numerous new abilities and custom made units each with a completely revamped size and structure. Between custom made units and structures with historically correct skins, Normandy '44 offers over 150 NEW UNITS, making for an almost endless variety of different scenarios and unit actions. Combined these factors provide for an experience unlike any other mod for CoH!

do u guys got an update for it from 1.6 so we don't hafta dl 1.5 gb of stuff??
Yeah, needs an update release.
We don't have an "update" version and here is the reason :
Between version 1.6 and 1.7, A LOT was changed - even if just slightly. Trying to make sure I was able to dig up 100% of what was changed was almost 100% certain to leave stuff out. And, if even 1 thing was forgotten, those with the "update" version and those with the "full" version would be incompatible online.
I hope the next version will be just an update, but this version had well over 100 files changed.

which one do i download the auto install version or this version
You can download either - they are the same.
We just uploaded the auto-installer version after this version - the auto-installer should be easier as there is no copy-pasting
it doesn't work, when it's loading it has an error report
what can i do for this game to work?

What do you mean by "loading"?
Downloading the files here or loading the mod in order to play it? There aren't any Win7-related problems so it's more likely a problem with the directory of the mod or something like that. Post the problem you are having and we can take a look it.
Amazing mod...Love the 101st with British support! Also love how the subdivisions are choosen!
Absolutely love the mod, just have a few concerns the German armour is too powerful, at long range the German tanks are superior and history denotes that. But I think you have failed to take into account how susceptible the Tiger and Panther were when engaged at shorter ranges. While the sloped frontal armour on the Jagdpanther and the Panther was difficult to penetrate the side and rear armour was not. I have been playing this mod for a few months now and time after time I see a Cromwell or a Sherman or even the lethal 17 pndr ricochet off the side or rear armour of the Panther, Tiger and most of the axis heavy tanks. With the later Axis reinforcements consisting of 3 Panthers and 1 Tiger an entrenched player can steam roll even the most well thought out defences. Again I think the mod and the originality of the mod is exceptional. Would just like you to look at some of the armour penetration values.
Would anyone know a download mirror thats friendly to dialup users, i get cut off every 4 hours.
moddb, filefront and their ilk suck "%^#$&@#" as the urls die over reconnects
even a working torrent would be ok. Its getting bloody hard to download large mods on dialup most ( useless ) large site's munge download urls.

please download and install N'44 again after you've uninstalled it completely first. Maybe your setup was corrupted during the download or something went wrong during the installation process. Please post here again after you've reinstalled it and if the skins are still missing. Greetz

hey i was downloading this mod i opened the files moved them into the right folders and everything moved my coh stuff to the right folder i got it on steam i tried to make the short cut i typed it word for word can any body help
No we cant help. You never said what your problem is, only that you installed it.
I cant download it every time i try after a littel progress it stop because of the site server timeout
Try filefront by clicking the mirror button or check your internet.
It dont works i do all with the instructions but saying that the target (new target for Nomandy 44) and saying it isnt correct i checked evrything but still saying not correct. please help ASAP!

So i got company of heroes on steam and i was wondering if that would change how i have to create my shortcut at all? I really wanna try out this mod but i can't find the shortcut to start and when i try to make my own it gets very confusing, if you could explain at all what i'm supposed to do that would be great :)
I was able to download files and change the target for the new shortcut; however when I click on the icon it does not lauch the game. I even try running in admin mode, but that didn't work either. I am currently using Win 7. Any suggestions cause I really want to play this mod.
