hmm, anims look pretty good but you need to fix the front sight. It looks wrong when it is loopy like that, mabey one of those micro glowstick style sights you see on modern weapons would be nice. Also, you HAVE to line up the front and back sight better! The ruger is a precision rifle and not a shotgun, so it is imperative that you have a clean and accurate sight that is lined up perfectly. Also, mabey you could make the front of the rifle a little bit larger, because it seems to shrink ALOT towards the front oif the weapon, and it isnt that long. Also, just smooth out the spot where the synthetic stock meets the back of the breach (the stock sort of mixes/covers part of it) and then I say it's a go.
The Ruger 10/22 is anything but a precision rifle, but yes I agree it needs to be lined up better but keep in mind that all of these demos are just examples of works in progress and they are constantly being changed.
Also, the "glowy stick" thing you are referring to is called a fiber-optic sight.
Don't listen to him, keep the sights manufacturer default.

I think the model and animations are great but when ammo checking with that magazine how would he be able to tell how much ammo is in the clip since the rounds aren't visible in that little box magazine. I know i'm making a big deal out of a small little thing but would be nice for a little clarification :D
First thing here: the ironsights don't line up on the model, which probably means you need to fix up your animation poses.
The animations are OK. Nothing too great, but OK. They don't quite flow properly if you know what I mean (eg the bolt is cocked too quickly), and there appears to be recoil. Why would there be recoil on a 22 weapon? You would have to actually jerk the gun yourself to produce that IRL!
The model looks a bit plain to me, some normal maps and such like could do wonders for it.
First thing here: The animations are WIP
- Even .22LRs have recoil, especially on a rifle as light as a synthetic stock Ruger 10/22
- The model is plain because the gun is plain. Have you ever seen a Ruger 10/22? You probably own one. Everyone owns one. They are so bland and flat. I had to go out of my way to make it look less plain than it already is. It has a normal map. All of the firearm models do. The thing is, normals won't make it look better. There is no detail to the gun to punch out with a normal map.
the sound of the ruger firing is weird. it sounds like the drums to a breakbeat song. i hope that's going to get fixed.
Sounds are all still WIP, but it won't change much since that was recorded from a .22 being fired at a range.
this weapon needs other sound because sounds like broken tv
the iron sights arnt aligned so wouldnt the shot be off?
