No More Room in Hell the long awaited Source zombie modification.

Report article RSS Feed NMRiH Devblog and Gameplay Video

Well we don't post small updates on this page all that often but people apparently don't have a sense of humor. So here's a small update.

Posted by Dman757 on Apr 27th, 2011

It's about time we formally announced our new Devblog for those of you that don't follow our twitter or facebook where it's simulcast. Think of it as a place to get your fix when there aren't any major media updates. The blog is open for fans to ask questions, post relevant articles and you know post comment... That sort of thing. Hope you enjoy it!

Here's a sample of what our playtest lead posted about a month ago:

I don't know what your going to do with those zombies but...
Please keep them slow, but very strong and sure as don't go down easy.

I hope people agree with me that a horde of slow impending doom other than a horde of fast paper napkins are more mature and scary.

I think it has a really fine look all around. I can also see the good need to play that map MANY times before a decent portion of the layout sunk into my thick skull ! A little lost, a little tense and plenty frantic...marvelous.

The ambients sound pretty good, but I would like to hear those weapons giving a more realistic report. Crank 'em up ! Excellent work on this project gents !

I see people whining about the slow zombies. That my favorite part. Classic Romero style zombies who are a threat because of numbers and persistence. And the threat of infection too. L4D could never do that because they throw way too many hordes of fast zombies and you are apparently superman. So anyway, I love what you are doing here, looks tense as hell.

I love how players can get infected by zombies, quick question: Can you get infected when at any health status or just at low health?

You can become infected at any health level. It's really just chance. You'll know you're in trouble if you see a zombie coming in for a bite and not just a normal attack

It was originally set up to be a white light (like an LED Maglite should be) but it ruined the overall aesthetic being presented. We opted for a yellow tinted, flickering light to better accent the general art direction of the mod.
