No Man’s Land is a modification of the popular mod Forgotten Hope 2. The mod is set in the turbulent times of World War 1, with accurate weapons, settings, and scenarios. We strive to create a realistic and historically accurate experience, without sacrificing gameplay. No Man’s Land will contain many vehicles accurate to the time, such as the Austin-Putilov, or the A7V. With these features, we hope to bring the experience of World War 1 to you in a way never before done since BF1918 for the original Battlefield 1942.

Hello and welcome back to another update of No Man’s Land. For today’s update, we have a new weapon ingame.

Posted by on

We already showed you the render of the MG 08/15, but not this beast ingame. The MG 08/15 was a German water-cooled light machine gun, introduced in April 1917. In total the MG 08/15 was the most common German machine gun deployed in WWI, with about 130 000 MG08/15 manufactured during WWI. There was also the MG08/15 air cooled version, but this was used in airplanes only.

On a second note: No Man's land minimod is very close to being done! We just need to finish some important things in order for it's release. Please, join us if you can either map, model or code, even help us with some work as a freelancer...

This is all for tonight’s news, we hope you can stay with us for the next update! And don’t forget to visit our main forums at www.nmlmod.forum-motion.com and our support websites, Forgotten Honor and Inside 1918!

looks nice.
But I wouldn't call the 08/15 a "light machine gun" with 14kg weight...
sieht gut aus.
Aber ich würde das 08/15 mit 14kg Gewicht nicht "leichtes Maschinengewehr" nennen...

It is light compared to MG08, for example british Lewis had 13 kilo-28 pounds (almost same), and it was light MG aswell.

I know it isn't very likely, but will this mod and its maps have bot support? I just know I'm going to love this mod, and I really look forward to the prospect of playing this with the bot tweak that allows over 200 bots, considering I'm currently stuck with Battlefield 1918 and BF1942's strict 64 player limit.

Nevermind, I poked around some more and saw many indicators that SP mode will be included, but with this, I have another question: Is it possible to tweak bots' aggressiveness so that they charge ahead and use their e-tool or bayonet when they're within a certain proximity to their target? The biggest problem I notice with BF1918's bots is that they often seem to just stand there, slowly taking shots at me with their rifles, which makes them all too easy to pick off.
Anyways, keep up the great work! I'm really excited about this mod!
