Well guys were doing it.
We've got a new studio underway so things have been a little slow development wise. We will have a new web page specifically for the Studio and Ninja:Rekishi shortly and will be posting the address here once the site is complete.

Ninja: Rekishi (Ninja:History) will be a historically correct Ninja simulation/stealth game. There will be NO flying grappling hooks or invisibility techniques. The game will come down to pure skill such as misdirection, stealth and technique. The game itself will be based around the player taking control of a Ninja/Shinobi from the feudal period in Japan. As a Ninja the player will have missions to accomplish as given to him by his ruling Daimyo and clan leader.
A lot of historical ninja tools will be available such as: Tanto, Testu-bishi, Ninja-to, Bo, Fukiya and Metsubishi. Just to name a few. For those who have no idea of the few tools I just named. It means you will be able to use everything from Blinding powders, Ninja swords and knives to blowpipes and grappling hooks. All in all the game will be very well rounded when it comes to the tools and weapons available. Though the tools themselves will be historically correct and wont have any "special" abilities and so on.
At the moment the Single player demo is underway, which will let players go through the training stage. Later we plan to release Single Player Story, Co-Op Story and Multiplayer Vs Modes.

This is Great! Makesomethingunreal.com Epic have made a contest for Modding groups such as our own. Basically what will happen is that Modding groups from around the world that use the Unreal 3 Engine have a chance to win a full licence to publish the game they make, not to mention make some $$$. I think your game mod looks great! I certainly understand your approach towards keeping it traditional. I am actually developing a ninja game myself (though not in the same vein as yours) but definately not ninja gaiden either. Good Luck!

No, I haven't placed it on Moddbyet, I am working on the main avatar now. And am building the environments via(Maya). I have a ways to go, but I think I will try to add it this month. I think yours is great, please keep up the good work, I am certainly a fan...

Hey sorry for the late reply, Giant Otaku. Dont worry things are getting done. We'll be sure to post some updates shortly :P We're not going anywhere, just have times when production slows down abit.

Just keying in a little late on the music. I've got 2 songs posted with a traditional Japanese influence with a bit of chaotic twist. They shouldn't be all too hard to find in my downloads section - Feudal Japan and Heart of the Samurai. Let me know what you think and we can discuss further production if you're interested.
Will there be some kind of detection system, seeing how you can sneak on other players, maybe some kind of GUI that checks how noisy you are and your environment.
EDIT: Also it is better to have time in the gamemode, as day and night will go by quicker than normal, meaning you can take advantage of the dark at night, and detect them better during the day.
Cheers for the input, but the game design is pretty much already decided. Stealth will be a key part of the game so the UE3 AI will play a large role. We wont be speeding up time as you suggested. This is a realistic Stealth simulation. Time will go as normal and most missions will be during the early morning, sunset and the cover of night.
