What is NSU
Nightstalker's Universe Mod has been in the works for 9 years, the mod itself has gone though many incarnations including being rewritten several times. The concept of NSU is to give SciFi junkies what they are looking for. There are several sections of the mod dedicated to different SciFi Shows such as, BSG, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Firefly, and Star Wars. There are several sections of the mod that come from different ideas I have come up with and each system is uniquely different with custom suns, starspheres, and a few planets. The Mod has a lot to offer for a wide range of players. At the start you are given 5 choices though the use of one way jump holes (one in ST, SW, B5, Nightstalker Space, Terran Alliance Space). There are also 4 unique Factions in the mod, including Rogue Asteroids, Comets, Derelicts (Moving wrecks), and monsters (They hurt too).

There is an update coming but I do not have a date as of yet for release.

How to join the server, because the global list have not works?

I tried to start the game with the parameter
"Freelancer.exe -s 205.185.113.40:2302", but it did not work.

If you have a space in that it does not work.

Also, do not put it in the "" It should look like "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -s205.185.113.40:2302 in a 32bit OS

and

"c:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -s205.185.113.40:2302 in a x64 OS (Unless you have it in a different partition)

im having trouble getting on the server, every time I try to make a character it tells me the name is taken, no matter what I put in

Nigtstalker61, I meant that instead of connecting to the server at startup main menu appears.

As of today are EU server is no more. The server OP cannot keep up with the expenses. So now we are down to the USA-1 server only until I decide if we need a new EU host or not.

Nevermind about that, installed it and played for a few hours, no probs at all. Great work on the mod! Best mod I've seen so far for Freelancer!

how long eu server will be restarting?

The server takes 5 - 10min to restart because it has to parse all of the records for the players to output the player stats.

Crashed to desktop I have OS WXP SP3 32bit. I can run crossfire & discovery mod ok.

This is a clean install with a orginal retail disc patched upto v1.1 no other mods in conflict.

Noticed 2 active servers on xfire Any help is there a Home/forum page?

Using Fmm 1.3 version tried 2 different downloads so far moddb & gamefront no joy.

The best place to get help is on the Olympus Complex Forum olympuscomplex.com . You should not need any patches at all (They are included in the mod + most of those have been updated). Also, it helps to delete the Freelancer Folder under My Documents\My Games since this contains game data from the other mods. If you need these files just rename the folder to Freelancer_Bak and when you run the mod, it should create a new folder. I am on an extended absence from the game at this time so you are lucky I just happened by (Hence why the forums are a better solution).

Removing the original FL folder worked, the mods now running fine, thanks & cheers.

A lot of potential here, on the NSU mod. I would have given it a 10 if there was a open single player option. But NS wants it only as Multi-Player, shame really. But with that aside, this mod has everything for the Sci Fi Geek in all of us..lol Graphics on most of the ships are sharp and detailed, only a few along with some stations that need a revamp. Almost no trade lanes, but your cruise engine's are increased to 900 to cope with the large distance's, a 1000 cruise would be better as that would…
