In Nightmare House 2 you wake up inside an abandoned hospital with no understanding of how you came to be there, only a vague memory of the girl from Nightmare House haunts you. Soon it will be difficult to determine between a dream and reality. How long will it take you to realize that escape is not an option?
Being forced to play through the proglogue was pretty boring and uneventful. This part of the game almost has nothing to do with the first part other then killing zombies and a chick running around and trying to jump scare you every five minutes.
Way too many times it tosses random objects at you, taking away too many hit point and making it easy as pie for enemies to beat you to death suddenly because the shelf in the room before hand, smashed you in the face then everything on the shelf took turns floating around you and there's nothing you can do about it unless you have played before and know exactly what to expect.
Relying on jump scares to get something out of the player gets very boring, very quickly.
Forcing the player to stop and wait for a cinematic scene to play out is very tedious and boring. The flash light goes out, you can't walk fast and the door is of course, locked. You can't see what they are trying to scare you with because the game at default is far too dark.
The surroundings drag on and on as your enviroment never changes, you see the same doors and hallways over and over again, a relentless grey and white path constantly surrounding you with blinking lights and static on television screens that make the player want to cut themselves to see something other then grey and white.
This isn't a popular review by far but perhaps one of the more honest ones. If you're going to make players tell you why they hate games though, here you go.
