As you may know Nightmare House 2 got the second place in MOTY, while the first place was a multiplayer mod, which means Nightmare House 2 is the best Singleplayer Mod of the year. ![]()
So as a thanks I’ve decided to release the Nightmare House 2 source files, which means all the maps are now accessible and editable, the code, etc.
What does it means? It means anyone can look, learn, modify, and use stuff from the maps and the code. Just give us proper credit if you do!

PSS: People keep asking whether I’m going to make Nightmare House 3 –No, it won’t happen, the Nightmare House story is done the way we designed it. If anyone want to make an unofficial sequel in the Nightmare House universe you have my go, you have all the proper resources now.
So yeah, go crazy, I’m waiting to see what you can salvage from the files.

Is this just a map pack or is this a full mod? I mean like new models and stuff.
According to the forums he found a coder, which is great because i've been waiting forever for this mod.
It's not dead It just stuck, If anyone of you guys know a bit of coding or know someone who is, I need someone to help me update the mod to the new EP2 engine (I have no idea how to do it myself). Then I will be able to continue working on it.
To update it just recompile the maps under the Ep2 SDK and make a new 'mod' with the HL2 EP2 SDK. No real coding
There are already some coding in the mod itself, I don't want to start a new one.
You would just need to add that code to the new SRC stuff after creating a new mod un the Ep 2 SDK is all. and then compile the DLLs for it, that should be it
Too much for me, I won't mind some help though. ;)
well if this is REALLY causing this much trouble, and means the mod could be cancalled, couldnt you just leave the mod in the original half life 2 engine, some people dont even have episode 2 anyway
Eh, I'm perfectionist, seeing the mod on the old HL2 engine like that while I can have the new one would simply kill me, I really want these dynamic shadows and the particle system.
Anyway, I'm happy to say that I've found a coder few days ago (from interlopers). :D
