yeah, i have a problem, the game stars loading and then crashes
due to an engine problem, and it says something like:
"extra appid set to 220, but no steam appid"
any ideas?

I haven't played Nightmare house 1 so should i play that and then the remake or is it the same?
From what I played of NH1, seemed just like the remake, although the remake is miles better. NH2 is on my games list, along with Black Mesa, and HL: Ep3 :P
