The final release of New Vision.
I'd like to sincerely thank everyone in the community for their support over the years; without you, I wouldn't have had the motivation to continue working on this project for 5 years of my life. I'd also like to thank someone else; if you're reading this you know who you are: thank you.
I hope you all enjoy the mod and I wish you all the best.

Exceptional texture mod that adds a significant amount of detail to an already exceptional game. Many thanks to the developers of New Vision for bringing a old gem to new life. In a nutshell, this mod makes everything look better from a world texture standpoint. With the 1.0 update, New Vision has become a near complete package with the addition of several new textures, the fixed deusex.exe (helps re-size screen, choose renders, and run on modern systems) and the included DX renders. The beta will be about 1.5 to 2gb.
Thats when it's uncommpressed.
The ZIP file is 785mb....
I dont care what any body says. That. Is. Big
The funny thing about unreal engine is that it alows huge nice sharp textrues and crapy models whit max 256x256 res. but half life engine alows nice models some even look like half life 2 these super definition models. but the textrues on world is crap.
is this true? lol
Not exactly. The maximum size of textures in Unreal Engine 1 is 256, without using an updated renderer. There was basic support for high resolution and S3TC compression (i.e. up to 4096X4096) but it was never possible for anyone except gamers using S3 Metal graphics cards.
The models suck because Unreal Engine 1 does not have smoothing groups - if it did, Deus Ex would look way better than it does. By not supporting this the models look like ***, simply. But, with the new renderer the resolution supported by models is increased also, so you can actually use higher resolution textures on Deus Ex models than Half Life, which is capped at 512X512 (or 768X300 something).
Ah, so I take it You guys are using an updated rendering engine?
so how big will this beta be? im just wondering becuse it will be released in some days i gues.
Will it work with The Nameless mod?
Yes, it is fully compatible with any Deus Ex mod.
are you guys still working on this mod ?
