Play through the entire Yuuzhan Vong War and New Jedi Order era in this massive submod for Thrawn’s Revenge. Entirely new factions, GCs, and a huge amount of new ships and units.

I take *no credit* for any of the models/maps/particles/planets etc. I've just integrated them into one mod. My sincere thanks to other modders who have shared their assets with me and made all of this possible.

The Imperial Remnant

News 2 comments

The Battle for Ithor

Shortly before the Battle for Ithor, Princess Leia travelled to Imperial Space seeking an alliance with the Remnant to defend the Outer Rim.

Outer Rim defenders

In the '25 ABY: Dark Tide' GC you can send Leia on this diplomatic mission, unlocking Borosk, an Imperial world, for the New Republic.

Once Borosk is unlocked, an Imperial Barracks and Advanced Vehicle Factory spawn on the planet, giving the New Republic player access to E-WEB squads, Stormtroopers, AT-STs, AT-ATs and a full range of Imperial Remnant starships that can be deployed across the Outer Rim to help defend the New Republic.

Luke and AT ATs

The player is also granted Grand Admiral Pellaeon. But be careful, if Pellaeon dies the alliance dissolves and Borosk, and its Imperial tech, are unavailable.

Pellaeon

Pellaeon's flagship, the famous ISD-II 'Chimaera', carries Tie Defenders, Tie Bombers, Preybirds and Colonel Jagged Fel's Clawcraft squadron - a formidable fighter force. They will make an invaluable contribution to the New Republic's defence. Clawcraft can be constructed by the New Republic from any world which Pellaeon orbits.

Jagged Fel

The combined New Republic-Imperial fleet will be a powerful force against the Vong. Will it be enough?

i was wondering do you put this in the thrawns revenge file to run it or is it its own thing?

Richard198383 full installation instructions will be provided when the mod is released. But you will need a copy of Thrawn's Revenge 2.1, and then to copy and paste the NJO Compilation mod over the top of it. So when the release comes out I will recommend making a separate copy of Thrawn's Revenge for the NJO mod, as it will override almost everything, including every faction and all Galactic Conquests from Thrawn's Revenge.

I see sometimes that you are using the same UI design as the Thrawns revenge mod. Is this only placeholder and will be updated to your own design later? or is it staying this way?

Hi @evekiller66 this is actually a submod for Thrawn's Revenge (basically a total conversion for it). So the UI is leftover from that. I might change the Vong one at some point, but it isn't on the to-do list at the moment and isn't urgent at all.

Here's another question, will the Galactic Alliance be able to build Clone War era ships because I remember reading somewhere they utilized old Clone War era ships more specifically a Venator during the Evacuation of Dac.

I don’t think so. But the Imperial Remnant might have some Acclamators and Venators as starting units leftover from Pellaeon’s incorporation of the Pentastar Alignment.

The Hutts will probably end up with some CIS stuff and I might have a limited number of old ships buildable by all sides from the starship graveyards of Ord Mantell.

By this point Clone War tech is hopelessly outdated: By the time of the Galactic Alliance most *New Republic* tech is outdated. The Vong are overpowered against the New Republic, the Galactic Alliance reach parity with their XJ3s, Rejuvenators and Harbingers. So if even MC80Bs and other NR ships are outclassed, Venators and other Clone War stuff won’t be much use.

Keep in mind star wars tech doesn't fall out of favour that quickly, weapons and ships still remain viable for decades if not centuries. Most of the obsoleting would come from people getting experience with how to fight against specific classes and designs, or the current political/naval doctrine. A venator is still powerful as a light destroyer and carries a boatload of fighters even if its a century old.

Nolanstar A fair point to some extent - but there is a lot of technical innovation in the NJO era that would render designs out of date. Some of these ships will appear in certain circumstances - but nobody should play this mod thinking they will be able to easily amass a fleet of Clone War tech and that it will be useful against a Miid Roik or Strident-class Star Defender.

Keep in mind as well that Clone War ships are designed after a millennia of peace; by the NJO era the galaxy has been in a state of war for half a century - they’ve had that long to design new weapons and ships that completely outclass older stuff (and not least because the ships tend to be much larger).
